We tried to buy a puppy mastiff from the website Oodle,com. We were given the owner’s name *** cell #*** and work #***. We picked a male mastiff puppy 10 weeks old. He asked us to send a money gram for $550.00 which we did ($450.00 for puppy and $100.00 for shipping). He brought the puppy over to a delivery agency to register the puppy over to my name. We were told the puppy was checked and he was healthy and up to date on all of his shots. A couple days letter I received an email saying we needed to pay a $900 refundable fee to rent an air ventilated crate because the crate he was originally sent in was not acceptable. So the owner put up $600 and we put up $300 through moneygram and got an email saying the whole 900 was refundable. We asked to receive the puppy 8/21/2015 and got a confirmation email saying the puppy will be sent out of Georgia at 10:30 and landing in North Carolina at 1:00. Then he would leave North Carolina at 2:00 and arrive at Newark Airport at 6:00 and would be at my doorstep at 7:30. I received a phonecall from the delivery agency at 5:30 saying the puppy never went in air and we need to pay $1500 for puppy insurance and if we do not then the puppy will be abandoned. At that point we realized that it was a scam.
