Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
I received a letter in the mail that looked somewhat "official" yet still seemed off. I contacted the 800 number on the letter to get a physical address to confirm the business on BBB.org and I spoke to three different shady men: Mitch Turner, "Lou" and Bryan Stewart. None of these men would provide me with any information, and Mitch Turner was incredibly rude to me. They told me to call back to speak with the supervisor if I didn’t provide my information. They said they would not speak with me until I provided them with my "notice number" on the letter, which I refused. I asked how long they were in business, what the physical address of the business was, and a website. They denied me all information except the website of "DebtTrends.com". I looked up the website and it was a generic site as well. I Googled the PO Box information and found it listed in the white pages under "Residential" and also connected to a Law Firm called Collette Pelcic Legal Services, but they had no affiliation with "Debt Trends" or "Debt Relief Center". Further, I looked up the PO Box on WhitePages.com and it indicated that this address is linked to a "residential" customer, not commercial. The letter sent to me in the mail also indicated "Second Notice" but I NEVER received a notice prior. Also, my creditor balances are too high, this is not an accurate amount that I owe. Nothing about this business is legitimate. Do not provide them with your money or your information!!!
