A David Ross, yet also a Spanish speaker, called my elderly mother Patsy Ambrogio asking her not to tell me (her daughter) that my son (her grandson) was in a car wreck in Orlando, Fl and was in jail for an accident involving a DUI on his part after attending a friend’s wedding. They wanted $995. in 2 hours at his hearing for his bail. Then my mother called me. I called the "attorney" at the number 915-455-4388 and he then said there was no positive DUI for the breathalizer but Hunter needed the money for bail and had been arrested. When I started asking questions, he hung up.
He did have my son’s name, my mother’s landline number, to start.
Another number they called her from was 772-222-3228
I instructed my mom to report the scam to AARP ElderWatch
1-800-222-4444, option 2. I also stated that she might want to change her credit card #s and bank acc #s if she had given that to anyone lately. Also told that to my adult son.
