Type of a scam Tax Collection
Caller identified himself as David Gray, call back # 404-287-2210. Calling from Treasury Dept, IRS, criminal activity that will be jail time for me if I don’ respond. Called 3 times back to back, previously called once. All calls on my landline phone. I didnot respond but called the Copley Police Dept who indicated they had received numerous complaints about the same caller.The number given to me by Copley Police to call the local IRS office didn’t help because they do not accept calls but it is an automated system.
Iam an elderly woman but pretty wise & NEVER fall for this kind of scram but others may be intiminated when the caller mentioned jail time & they might fall for it.
