While searching for a lab for my family, I came across this site. The “breeder” started a chat with me to see if I had any questions. I asked about 2 of the puppies listed as available on his site and in the end settled on an 8 wk-old chocolate lab named Lucy. I questioned about the dog’s health, and he questioned about my previous experience with dogs/puppies. I paid the $700, which he said included shipping, via google pay. The next morning, he texted me as he was driving the puppy to the shipping “agency”, and once he supposedly dropped off the puppy there, he texted me a tracking number for her and said he was then headed to the hospital to take his daughter in for a medical emergency. I was then connected to the shipping agency via text and email and spent hours attempting to get payment to go through to “rent an electronic kennel” and was assured said payment would be fully reimbursed upon the puppy’s arrival. The puppy was not put on a flight at all yesterday despite being told she would arrive at 2am. When the dog did not arrive at said time, I texted the shipper and the breeder. At 3am, I received a text saying not to worry that my family “would soon be so happy to have a new member.” At 7:12am, I texted the “breeder” and told him of all Th e contradictory texts I had been receiving from the supposed shipper. I was again told not to worry and that my puppy would arrive today. I replied stating that I do worry due to so many scams, and the “breeder” discontinued all communication at that point.
