This is a secret shopper scam. They sent a letter to me with a check enclosed. The letter seems legit, but instructs to cash the check, use it to buy several specific gift cards, scratch the backs and email photos of the cards. I didn’t bother cashing the check. I looked for several signs. One is that the envelope is sent from Orlando, Florida and the company the address belongs to is actually an insurance company. The other is that there is no company info on the check, but the Vermont Credit Union they claim the check is from is real and so is the Los Angeles Business, except the email isn’t matched up with Market Feedback INC, but instead with a "Secret Survey Group."
Now, why would a company in Florida, send a letter with business info from California, but send a check with that letter from Vermont? Answer, no real company would. Don’t get scammed by these guys.
