Around June 9th, an elderly woman was out in her yard working when she was approached by someone in a white truck who offered to trim her trees and power wash her house for $250. They told her she would have to stay inside while they worked. When they were done, she handed them a check written out to Crown C Construction. They asked her to make it out to the owner Cherry Cooper instead. Her daughter stopped by later that day to look at the work and found that they did not complete the job. They had only done work on one side of the home. The daughter called to see why they did not finish the job. She was told that they did what they agreed to do but said they would return $100. She tried to stop payment on the check but it had already been cashed. They have not heard from the business.
