These people continue to call my home phone 2-3x per day. They are promising to lower the interest rate on our credit card. It is always a real person, but when we tell them we are not interested, they become nasty. They threaten to come to our house, they asked when I would be home alone so they could some then, they threatened to kick my dad’s butt, they told my mom to jump off a building, and other things I will not repeat. They repeatedly curse at us and then hang up. If we hang up before they finish, they just call back. If you call the number back it says the number is not in service, except for the 800 number that went to Capital One, but they claim they aren’t calling us. We know it’s a scam and want it to stop.

Automated call to "lower" your credit card rate. Wanted me to give him my card number and expiration date. After I told him this was a scam, they tried to convince me it was not a scam.

I received the phone call from a local area code phone number. The scammer has a pre-recorded message that asks you to press the number 9 if you would like to hear more about a credit card offer for 0% interest. I pressed 9, a live person came on the phone then ask me if I listened to the pre-recorded message, I said it said I would get a 0% interest credit card. The scammer said again did you listen to the pre-recorded message, and I said "yes I did". The caller immediately hung up.

Person advised they are part of my credit card company (could not provide the name of the company nor which credit card they were referring to) and stated I was approved for a credit line increase. One asked if I could hear them and the other three numbers asked if I had time to discuss. When asked about the company they were calling from, they say nothing but repeat their question/s or the line they just read me. Hung up after asking them twice for more information, or asking to remove me from their scam list.

Person called saying my credit card was available for a lower interest rate. At first it’s a recording, then it connects you to an operator. The operator asked if I have more than $5000 to pay off on my credit cards. I said no and the person hung up. The operator did not specify a company they worked for.

I got a robotic call saying that this was the last chance I had to reduce my credit card interest rate. Eventually a person comes on the line and I asked "which credit card?" and he said "Visa and MasterCard." He was unable to tell me whether it was Visa or Master or which bank it was with and hung up after I asked those questions. I’m Indian. He sounded Indian.

I received and automated call to click on if i want to lower my interest rate. I decided to hear it out. someone picked up the phone and said you have visa/mastercard and I kept saying I have a visa card. I asked what card they are referring to and they just kept saying visa/mastercard. I asked for them to give me the credit card number and they said it starts with a 4 and that they can’t release the rest of the number for "my securiry" I was suspicisous and asked how do I know you are not a scam and they told me a story about how they can’t do anything without my pin or security code and once i verify my card number they will tell me the info they have. As soon as I did, they gave me my account balance and said you will receive a call in and hour about your lower interest rate. I was asking why are they giving me a lower interest rate and they hung up. I called the number again and it’s disconnected/buys. I cancelled my card right away but I want to make sure they get caught. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing but somehow I fell for it
