I was looking on Craigslist for a used van. I came across a very nice, fully loaded van for sale. I was told by the seller to contact by email. I emailed the seller and she told me her husband recently died and she was selling the van because it had too many memories. She said that she had recently moved back to her hometown of Omaha, NE. She said she was selling her van through Ebay. I told her I was interested and she told me Ebay would send me an invoice through email. The email explained that I needed to buy GoBank cards for the amount we agreed on. The email said that shipping was included in the price. I was told that I would have to pay through Ebay, as they will hold and guarantee the money. I was told the van was at a shipping company and they wouldn’t give the seller any money until I decided that I wanted to buy it. I bought and loaded the GoBank cards and then called the Ebay phone number on my invoice. They took the information from the cards then arranged to ship the van. The next day I received an email that they needed additional money because the van was undervalued and it was on hold. That’s when I found it to be fishy.
