Automated voice message saying that it is the tax department of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and there is a case under my name for owing taxes and a warrant out for my arrest if I do not call them back at the number given (twice): 604-425-1440. I will be arrested if I do not call back right away.

Just received a Robo Call from a group pretending to be Canada Revenue Agency. Having had several issues with my taxes this year (all of which were resolved via their online system and letters) I immediately detected the strange nature of the phone call.
At several point it threatened legal action and tried to sound serious and authoritative.

I did punch the link into a secure browser on another device. Its a expired link to an e-transfer.

I did not answer the phone as I could not get to it in time before the answering machine picked up and the following is what was left on the machine.Get a call of a recorded message of a man’s voice with an east indian or middle eastern accent saying that there was an action executed by the revenue agency intending your immediate attention if you ignore this message there will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an initial appearance before the magistrate judge or the grand jury for a federal criminal offence. He gives the phone number of 403-536-8261. Then says, I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. The phone call came in March 7th, 2016 at 9:05 am PT.
