Type of a scam Phishing
This morning, I received a phone call from what I thought was Cox Communications. The phone number was listed as 402/932-5685. A young-sounding woman, whose voice I recognized from two other scam calls, told me that "Our records show that you stayed at one of our resorts…
It was at this point that I angrily told her, "WE NEVER STAYED AT ANY OF YOUR RESORTS..AND DON’T CALL ME AGAIN!!! then ended the call. I contacted my local police department, who told me that they just tell people not to give out personal information…which I already knew not to do.
I’ve never reported a scam at this sight before, so I hope I did this right.
