I bought a kayak on google ads but it was a scam.

The seller sent a 0.4lb box to somewhere and used the UPS tracking to get the money from paypal.

Here is the proof from UPS live chat:

ROGELIO JR D (7/14/2020, 3:19:35 PM): That’s the shipping information of the package.

"This package (1Z6X77R60388353864) shipped by Amazon was delivered correctly but this is not for you and is to a different address that is also somewhere in SUWANEE GA".

ROGELIO JR D (7/14/2020, 3:19:46 PM): We can’t send this through email but our chat transcript is a solid proof.

when you search ‘kayak’ from an apple mobile phone on google, google ads will show the scam website. The scammer used different google ads over the last 2 weeks including

An unauthorized device was listening to my Pandora account. This was clear because the unauthorized user created new stations in my list that I would never want. I informed Pandora customer service by email (they have no phone support) and asked for the names of devices associated with my account. Instead of giving me that info (which the rep said they had), they offered to send me an IP log if I first emailed them my date of birth and copy of my driver’s license. I suspect this was fake customer support designed to get additional personal info from me so that the hacker could then steal my identity.

The caller stated he was with ATT and to inform our company they needed to verify the changes in our long distance services. He said they had sent out a letter in regards to the changes and as of the date of the phone call, they had not received the response back and need to inform us THAT DAY of the changes and to make SURE we were aware of them. I stated we didn’t use ATT and they were mistaken and that our company uses Spectrum/Time Warner. He stated ATT had purchased Time Warner over 11 months ago. He then went on to state they were no longer using the long distance carrier Time Warner had used and were now using Netcom as the carrier and needed to verify the numbers. They went thru a phone line checking process.

After getting off the phone with them, I called Spectrum/Time Warner and asked if any of their statements were true and the representative said no. He also reassured me that our service was still in effect with Spectrum/Time Warner and the scammers needed to have a special pin number in order to transfer service. He also stated I would have received an email in regards to the transfer of service request.

The company received the attached letter confirming the change of the services "ordered". I called the number listed on the letter and the person answering the phone wanted to know why we were canceling. I replied we did not order their services and their company had mispresented themselves. She responded with an attitude and asked me if I "wanted her to replay the tapes".

The initial email was in response to an actual job posting I submitted for on ZipRecruiter.com. The email said I had been "shortlisted for an online/chat interview" and to log into Google Hangouts and confirm an appointment for 10am the next morning. I complied, the interview was brief, but somewhat what I expected for my field. She had me wait 30 minutes while she referred the information to the "hiring board," then said they wanted to hire me for $40/hr to work from home 10-30 hrs a week. This is a bit high, but not entirely out of line for an experienced employee in my field. They were going to send me some office supplies and a check to be used for a laptop and software purchased from their "accredited vendor." I gave them no information they couldn’t get from my resume, they said we’d speak again tomorrow. Afterward, suspicious, I tracked down the person I supposedly talked to on LinkdIn. She did exist, and did work for the company. But they were not hiring for the job and she does not conduct interviews via chat services. The scammers posted the fake job, for a real company, used real names of HR reps from the company to contact people looking for work, and take advantage of them. It may have been an attempt to get info for ID fraud, or access to my bank account, or, the "accredited vendor" thing makes me think money laundering. Maybe all three. I’m glad I investigated further.

We are looking to change our cable provider. My husband

put in to Google "Direct TV" A google ad for Direct TV comes up..under

directv.com; There is a click for Direct TV packages. We dialed the number 8775482923 We spoke with an individual named Charles.

He went over all of the deals that were available. My husband; his name is  did provide him with his social security number.

Charles then repeatedly asked for a payment to secure the offer.

The odd things with this ad and phone call are as follows:

1.) He told us that Direct TV could be activated immediately.

2.) The phone # on this website changes everytime the website is viewed. THe

877-548-2923 no longer shows up.

3.) This gentlemen Charles said that my husbands file information would not be saved for future reference.

So, we would like to have this investigated to see if this is a real vendor?

If this is a scam, what precautions should be take to be cognizant of potential identity theft?

This is a current working number that identifies itself as "Direct TV".

He gave an explanation that Amazon was sponsoring the promotion to promote their "new" gift cards. I went along with it just to get all the info to investigate later. He gave me a promo code and direct phone numbers to DirecTV billing and the promotions HQ. Offer was good for a limited time (4 more days), but if I paid by 9pm today I would also get a Visa gift card for $150 mailed to me.

Got a phone call midday on a Thursday from a man that sounded like he was in India. He said that he knew I was a Directv customer and he had my info from the account, (address etc). He claimed that he was calling to offer a promotion that would lower my bill and give me more channels. When I agreed to take the offer it turned out it needed to be paid in an Ebay gift card, which he stated was the sponsor of the promotion. When I returned the call to pay the 280.00 for the 4 months ahead the call center was realistic and they had every bit of info that I would expect, they said wait 24-48 hours for the account to change. I waited and then called the number I used normally to inquire and they informed me no such deal exists. If you call 888-344-2611 it is the scam center, you would be hard pressed to imagine it was all fake. There is no difference in the greeting or reps from the real site. They have all the bases covered, I am in somewhat of a shocked sensation at the effort of criminals, they really put on a good show, must be lots involved. The fact that this goes on right under ATT/Directv noses says something about the company.

Was looking for online position and applied with this company, the emailed me for an interview. Did an "interview" via google hangout – first flag was they said that they do background checks for potential employees but 15 minutes into interview they said I got the job. It was a work from home job and they asked for pictures of my credit card so they could deposit money for me to purchase supplies. I said no. Then they said ok, just give us the username and password for your credit card and we will add funds that way. I told them that it wasnt possible to add funds which they pushed back on. I called my credit card (Citi) and they said not to give them the info so I didnt. Then they said ok, we will just send you a check. I received it the next day and confirmed receipt via text at the number above. The person kept pushing that I needed to deposit check and send them copy of receipt and they would tell me what to purchase. I told them that I would confirm as soon as funds cleared at my bank. They kept pushing back saying basically that wasnt necessary and to just deposit it and let them know when I did. I told them again I would tell them when it cleared and they said nevermind as I cannot follow simple instructions they were going to reverse the check. I am pretty confident it was going to bounce – as I said to them, if they were a legitimate company and it was a legitimate check, they would have no problem waiting for it to clear my account. I believe they would have had me purchase some items and refund balance of check. The check is at home but it was for $4,800 if I remember correctly (at work).

Type of a scam Employment

It sounds like the perfect job: work at home, make thousands of dollars a month, and have a career with famous corporation. But this new twist on an employment scam is fooling victims into paying hundreds of dollars for a job at Amazon that doesn’t exist. Reports to BBB Scam Tracker about this con have increased steadily this summer.

How the Scam Works

You receive a voicemail message inviting you to apply for a job at Amazon. Allegedly, the online retailer is hiring dozens of people to list products online, post reviews, and do other website work. The position pays well – targets report anything from $20/hour to $6,000/month – and you can work from home. Scammers use the names Amazon Cash Website(s), StockRetail.com, and WebStoreJobs.com.

You are excited about the opportunity, so you fill out an application online. But there’s a problem! According to BBB Scam Tracker reports, new employees have to purchase a $200 “enrollment kit” before they can start work. If you pay up, the scammer will vanish. You will be out the money, and the new job never materializes.

How to spot a job scam:

· Be cautious of any job that asks you to share personal information or hand over money. Scammers will often use the guise of running a credit check, setting up direct deposit, or paying for training.

· Check the business’s website. Scammers frequently post jobs using the names of real companies such as Amazon to lend legitimacy to their cons. Check on the business’s website for the position and/or call to confirm.

· Work at home at your own pace. Always be wary of work from home opportunities that are riddled with testimonials. Often the suggestion of real success is misleading. Suggesting that few hours and limited work will make one successful is a red flag.

· If a job looks suspicious, search for it online. If the result comes up in other cities with the exact same job post, it is likely a scam. In this scam, a designated number of jobs are available and applicants need to act quickly. This high-pressure tactic is another red flag.

I was contacted by this company through my student email account. The lady that came into contact with me is Faith Maxwel and she claims to be the HR Manager/Consultant of Corestaff Services. Since they contacted me through my student email address, I thought it was a legitimate thing. They emailed me saying that they were looking for hardworking and dedicated students to employ and how it would just be a part time job and they would only need a couple hours of my time per week. She said I would be paid $350 a week. I was interested so I emailed them back. She then proceeded to ask for all my information such as name, DOB, mailing address, phone #, and occupation. I gave her all the necessary information and she then responded back that due to a high amount of applicants, that I would not be interviewed and I would just be given the position immediately. I thought that was a strange thing to say but I did not do anything about it. The next day when I tried to email her back, I kept getting error messages from my Microsoft Outlook saying that my messages couldn’t be delivered (weird right?). After this, I kept getting texts from Ms. Maxwell with instructions on what to do next. She said they were going to send me a check to cover my first assignment and first week wages. When I received the check, it was for about $2000! I immediately thought this was suspicious and a scam. I contacted Ms. Maxwel telling her I am not longer interested in the job offer. She stopped contacting me but yesterday (8/6/2018) I received another check for about $2000. I really do believe this was a scam and they contact young college students to fall for their scams. The checks were issued to my name and they were from credit unions. I have no idea what this money is coming from. It could be illegal money from all I know.

Received call today, August 2, with caller ID DirecTV 1-800-531-5000 (which is DirecTV’s legitimate customer service number). The caller stated that they were calling longstanding DirecTV customers with bills over $90 a month and offering them deals that would reduce their monthly rate because they recently had been losing too many valuable customers. He said he would reduce my monthly bill to $62 and he gave me a detailed list of the programming packages this would include. He went over the details several times and asked me questions to ensure I understood what was being offered. He then said he needed to transfer me to a supervisor who would give me a promotion code that would get me my discount.

After a short wait, the supervisor came on, went over the deal again, said that I would have to commit to DirecTV for 2 years and stated that I needed to pay 4 months up front to get the deal and then I would be billed monthly as normal at the new rate. He also stated that if I committed to the deal by 9PM my local time, I would receive a $100 prepaid Visa card that I could spend anywhere. At the end he finally told me that DirecTV and ATT were holding a joint promotion with Amazon and that the first 4 month payment must be done with a $250 gift card and he listed several locations where I could purchase the gift card. . He asked me if I was familiar with Amazon and stressed that Amazon was joining in on this promotion to promote their gift cards, and they would be subsidizing my DirecTV discount. He said that I needed to purchase a physical gift card rather than order one online from Amazon, because the online order may not go through in time to meet the 9PM Visa deadline. He gave me a number to call back on when I had the gift card 1-888-391-7562 and a promotion code DTV037942. He made sure I repeated both of these back to him. He stressed again that I would only get the $100 Visa card if I called the 888 number by 9PM, but that the offer for my reduced monthly bill was good until August 10. He asked me if I would be following through with this offer.

Both guys I talked to were extremely professional and seemed to cover all the bases a legitimate DirecTV sales person would. It was rather scary how good they were. They both had non-American accents. To me, they sounded Filipino. While I would love such an offer to be true, I am a total skeptic and double and triple checked up on their offer, which was a scam, and thus did not proceed any farther.

AT&T impersonators (Indian accent) offer a very tempting bundle package of TV, Internet and Phone services for 24 months at $83.33 per month. They want the first three months ($250) paid up front using an Amazon gift card, which needs to be purchased. They claim Amazon wants to promote their gift cards in connection with this AT&T offer. In addition, if you pay the same day, they will send a $100 Visa gift card to me to be used however I want. The phone call came the day after I was looking online at AT&T’s latest offers. The offers were for new customers only. Since I was an existing customer, I would have to call AT& T. So the timing of their call made it seem legitimate. Once I purchased the gift card, I called the number indicated, gave them the scratched off Claim Code, and they gave me a Confirmation Code. Since the code was a little hazy, they then wanted to take a pic of the card, and return it via their text message. After their text message didn’t come for a few minutes, I began to suspect something might not be right. AT&T Customer Service confirmed it was a fraud. Thanks to a previous article on the BBB.org site, I quickly informed Amazon. They are currently looking into trying to disable the gift card. Should know in a couple days.

A person identifying himself as from Direct TV by the name of Michael St. John called and asked if we were happy with our bill. He stated he could reduce it by $40. He knew the amount of my previous month’s bill and this month’s bill. He stated we could contact him directly if we had any issues with our service at the following number 219-800-3408. He even gave me his Direct TV employee number of RJ0017. He stated for him to be able to reduce our bill he needed me to give him authorization and a $1 fee using a credit card or debit card. When I told him to add the dollar to our bill he stated it didn’t work that way. I hung up on him. Our phone ID showed the number was from 800-service 888-294-8807. It sounded like he was calling from a large call center as there was a lot of noise in the background.

I called Direct TV and they stated there was no such employee and it was a scam.

I was offered a promotion to reduce my Direct TV bill for 24 months if I pay $280 now with an Amazon gift card and I’ll get a $100 Visa card if paid by 10 p.m. tonight. I was given the "billing departments" number to call back 888-838-0636 after I have my gift card. This is the second time I’ve been made this offer. The caller id on my cell came up with Direct TV’s real number.

I am out of work and have had to go on-line to fill out applications. I came across an administrative, "work from home" job from Envision Healthcare. I checked out their website. Finding an at home job is hard because most of them are scams. I looked for all the red flags. I didn’t see anything. I accepted the job with a formal "employment offer letter". They asked me for no money. They were sending me a check for me to purchase the software and tools I needed in order to work from home. They sent my check via FedEx Express (next day service) I received the check and that was the first red flag, it looked plain…just odd. I took it to my bank to have them check it out. They called the bank the check was from and the routing number nor the account number was valid, it was a scam. I spent 3 precious days doing everything I needed to do to be employed, I wasted my copy paper and ink and my time. I’m glad I caught it when I did. Just beware

Type of a scam Employment

I was ALMOST a victim of this employment scam. From beginning to end this lasted from Sun-Fri. I am currently unemployed and I listed my resume’ on indeed.com and careerbuilder.com on Sunday. Monday, I received a text msg saying “Good Morning,This is Lilly G. Robinson from TCG Consulting Inc, your resume has been reviewed by our recruiting team for the Data Entry positon with a pay of $25 hourly. Kindly respond with YES if you are still interested?” Of course I responded yes. I was then instructed to download a app by google “Hangouts”. She was doing things step by step. She said through message she was waiting on me to go to the next steps. Upon completion of the download process, she provided me a email address and a interview verification code RCL-10. She asked me to let her know once I sent the email a message. I did let her know and I no longer received any other msgs via text.

I sent the email a professional msgs inquiring more information about the job. He asked for my email address in order to send me a detailed layout of the company, position, pay, hours, etc. I continued to show interest, he then asked me a series of 10 interview like questions (one of which included who do I bank with). He gave me a list of office equipment and said they would send a check to cover the cost. He asked the turnaround time for my bank to release money. I advised 24 hrs. He asked for my name, address, and phone#. After that he told me he would reach out to me on Thursday with an update if I got the job or not. I woke up early Thursday, he told me I got the job. He gave more details about how the employment process works. From receiving the check(Nextday shipping), deposit it, visit a private vendor to purchase a MacBook, all in one printer, scanner, and photocopier and someone come out to setup my work @ home office. He said I would meet with someone to fill out my w4 information. He sent me a tracking# for the check. It was at moment I decided to check the BBB.org and see this was already reported.

I received a email for employment from Jeffrey Landry email address [email protected] and He started my name is Sarah Carlos which is a red flag for me, but goes on to tell me about a job opportunity for TCG in Alanta, GA. I looked up the company, it was legit. He or she goes on to tell me about the job and everything looks professional, then he or she will refer you to contact the hiring manager via Hangouts (Rowland Rennolls), email [email protected]

for a job briefing, interview and job description on Hangouts you go through the process your asked a series of questions which are included on your resume which they already have a copy of so your told that your information would be forwarded to his manager and you are to contact Rowland Rennolls the following morning at 8:30am for an update on your hiring status you are congratulated that you have got the job and he goes on to tell you about what equipment is needed for the job, where to purchase the equipment, when the company is going to send out a check to purchase the equipment, what bank your will (another flag for me), what vendor the company use and why they use this vendor" to install the apropriate software applications on the equipment. Equipment such as a MacBook all-in-one scanner and photocopier and he goes on to say the company will send a represetive to your location ( which would be your place of residence, since this suppose to be a work from home job) after all the equipment is set up for you to fill out your w2 and insurance information. Another red flag, for me so, I Google the company and called the number 1-888-824-8920 in Atlanta GA and soon as the recording come on it says we are not hiring, if you were contacted for employment it is a scam, please contact your local Authority your resume my have been stolen off of Career Builder or Indeed. It told me to contact this fella name James Middleton on Google hang out. Once I did – He explained that I would be job briefed about the position, If interested then I would be interviewed. Which occured. Then He said the next step would be to contact the team and discussed my answers since this was going to be a remote job. He also said the following day I had to be online at a certain time to message him to get a follow up on the position. I was assuming this was a test to the remote job and being punchality. I get up bright and early due to the time zone differences ( it was earlier than usual) I waited online for him about 45 minutes. He didn’t respond. About an hour later- I tried again. He responded and said congrats that they were offereing me a job. All of that converstation started to move fast. I was a bit skeptical so I asked if I could take the weekend to think about it. Gathering up informations and questions I should ask. I came back today ( Tuesday 6.12.18) I messaged him again asking if he was around that If I could ask a few questions. He repsonded and when I asked in depth questions- he immediately blocked me. I found that strange. Got a call saying that it was from Direct TV and they had a promotion going with Amazon which was part of a merger that if you prepaid 5 to 4 months on your account with an Amazon card you would get the premium channels at half the actual cost. Since I had 2 accounts the total amount came out to $530. Everything was script very well even the number they provided had the Direct TV recording. Spoke to several people so everything sounded legit.

Although I felt suspicious and called another number for Direct TV, they told me that they were not aware of that promotion, but would have to call back after Memorial weekend since the Sales Department was closed. All this happened during the holiday weekend so when I called on Tuesday is when it was confirmed that it was a scam. Then I went through a series of interview questions with a Brad Locke on Google-hangout. I inquired about an official in-person interview with a representative of the company. He said, no problem, that could be arranges. I got suspicious and called the company that Brad Locke said he was representing, TCG Consulting, Inc. at 1-888-824-8920 and a recording advised that TCG Consulting was not hiring and this was a SCAM. On 5/9/18 at 10:00 am I received a FedEx package with a check in the amount of $3,950.00 and a letter on plain paper with instructions to email my full name to Latoya Jackson, [email protected] the payroll officer in order to get authorization to deposit the check, otherwise it would not be honored by their bank. The check was issued by Cardinal Commerce 8100 Tyler Blvd. Mentor, OH 44060. Brad Locke, said that this check is provided to purchase equipment needed for the job.

The caller stated that DirecTV and Ebay were offering a promotion: If I prepaid 5 months of our bill using an EBay card (that could be obtained at Walgreens, CVS or 7-11) we would lower our monthly bill for the next two years to $69.99 a month. They would also add premium channels for free that included HBO, CMAX, SHO, ENC, Stars, etc. and all without a contract and could be cancelled anytime after the prepaid 5 months was up. The EBay cards don’t come in amounts to cover the $350 needed (max was $200). I was told to be eligible, I would need to call the 888-560-7561 number and give the "Combined Billing ATT & DirecTV people our Promotion Code that they supplied. The caller had my cell phone, DirecTV account number and address. They stated that Ebay was subsidizing the offer to promote their cards and DirecTV wanted to reward loyal customers by lowering our bill and offering the premium channels given the rise of Netflix, HULU and UTube TV.

I recieved a text message from "Diann Wilson" asking if I was still interested in a data entry/ Administrative Assistant position paying $25 per hour. I was instructed to contact "Mr. Morris" on google hangouts for a job briefing and interview. I played along to the messages on google hangouts minding the red flags in the corresonding email about the job. The email stated that I have to relocate to Atlanta, GA to work from home. When I asked about it, Morris said that I did not have to relocate. I instantly began to google the company. There are two companies with the title TCG Consulting inc. One of which had the same address as in the email. I called the number on that site and left a voicemail asking to verify the company and hiring resources.

I needed more evidence, so instead of searching the company name scams, I entered the gmail address into google and the first thing that showed up is a alert on the bbb.org with the same email and persons name using a different company as the employer. They said that i will recieve a check in the mail and im suppose to deposit it and send a screenshot of the deposit confirmation. Once the funds are in my account i have to request office materials from a specific vendor. Huge RED Flag!! Why send money in the mail if I have to only use it at their choice vendor? And why do I have to send a shot of my deposit receipt. It was sketchy enough for me. Be on your guard. This posting is on zip recruiter, glassdoor, indeed and careerbuilder.

The business using telephone 1-877-413-6377 is a SCAM… it keeps persistently calling and sending postal mail that is misleading.

The notice claims that ‘my’ auto file needs to be updated immediately. I do NOT own a vehicle. I worry about unsuspecting people who do not read the letter carefully including the fine print and are tricked by this scam.

I received a call this morning stating there was a security breach on my internet service – it was a recording. I pressed 1 to be able to talk to someone and when I asked questions they just hung up. The phone number showed it was AT & T’s legitimate number. I called AT & T at their legitimate number (800-288-2020) and was told AT & T does not call; they would send a letter — so I guess that number was spoofed.

I received a phone call last night and the number that showed up on the caller id was my own cell number. I answered it and a recording began saying that this was AT&T calling due to my account being compromised. The recording was asking that to verify my account I needed to provide my social security number. I know this to be a scam/phishing call. I had put my call on speaker so that my husband could hear the recording as well. When I hung up, my husband said that he had received three calls earlier in the day of the same nature. He said that his own number was calling him and all three times the recording said that it was AT&T calling and that our account had been compromised and he needed to provide his social security number to verify the account. We are no longer AT&T customers as we cancelled all of our services with them in March.

Transferred me to another agent who gave me a code to use when I called another number their promotion Dept. By the way the code was DTV021170, The phone number was 888-693-3754.

I was to go to either a CVS or Walgreen store and buy for 240.00 an Amazon gift card. (pre-pay the 1st 4 months of this service). I was then to call them and pay for the service for the 1st 4 months. No contract involved. I had to do this by 9:00pm that evening. They in turn would send me a Visa card for 100.00 within 2 days.

I received a phone call on 9/6 from a man that identified himself as Steve from Direct TV. He said this was a courtesy call regarding a followup complaint which we had made a while ago and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with service. He then went on to say that we were eligible to get 2 new receivers that should make a difference and solve our problem. I asked how much this would cost and he said it wouldn’t cost anything extra. All I had to do was set a date and time and they would bring the equipment. I said I wanted to talk to my husband about this first before I made a decision. I said to call back in about an hour. He then gave me his name and number including the extension. A little over an hour passed and he called again and this time he talked to my husband. Again he gave the same information, but this time when my husband set a date he told him that it would be $99.99. He then went on to say that we would get all these discounts including our choice of HBO, Showtime, Max, or Starz. All he needed was a credit card number to charge $1. My husband said he would not give out that information, but the guy got very persistent. At that point my husband hung up. Shortly after the same guy called again. The next 2 days we continued getting calls from this person. He had an Indian accent with an American name; Steve Matthew.

I was contacted by an Indian sounding person saying she was with Direct TV. She was offering me reduced monthly rates on my Direct TV bill ($59 per month) and I would get premium channels, and NFL Sundays for 2 years. They said it was a promotion with Direct TV and Amazon. They were promoting Amazon Gift Cards and if I paid 5 months up front ($300) with an Amazon gift card and if I did this within within in 24 hours I would receive a $100 Visa gift card as well. They said it was a new appreciation promotion for existing DirecTv customers because all of the other promotions they offer are for new customers. The phone number they called from came up on my phone as DirecTv as well. They also gave me a DirecTv billing number to call after I have my Amazon gift card for payment. That billing number even sounds like a a DirecTv number. But it is bogus. Once you give them your Amazon gift card info for making the payment, that money is gone.

I called direcTv using the customer service number on my bills that I know is legit before I went out to purchase the Amazon Card. They informed me this was a scam and advised I put a password on my account. The scammers had my billing address and account information when they called me so beware. This is a well put together scam

I was first contacted back in October from what was under the impression was Direct TV promotional division, 1st contact was guy by the name of shaq. Stated they were doing a promotion on these new moneypack cards so don’t pay your bill and get the card and put $250 minimum on the card use it to pay your bill and you will only have to pay only $79.00 a monthly on your bill for 4 months during the promotion. Or put more up to $500 the payment would be $79.00 for 6 months. I informed them I was tied to a bundle with at&t will this be tied into this also. Yes no worries we work with them since we come under the program. Please try and do this by the end of the day. I was could not not do it several times because of my business. So I called back and let them know I spoke with Mark (sound slightly like Shaq) and let him know what Shaq said, he said its okay just get it as soon as you can so you can take advantage of the promotion. They(Mark/Shaq) contacted me several times when while I was working so it was bad timing to talk or get the card. Once I was able to store to get this card(instruction and what type of card was specified in an email which appeared as a Direct TV email I didn’t have cash so I got it the following day called in the number on the card. Thank you keep the card for 24 hours and it will reflect and receipt to you via email. A few days later I get an email from what appeared to be another email from Direct TV stating the card malfuctioned call the number in the email so I called an was instructed to get another card and we will send you a refund via FedEx which time slot you so there will be there to sign for the refund check, I chose 7-12.

I called today to follow up on the receipt since I didn’t receive the email or the check I asked for a tracking number regarding the check. Ple[censored]d on I get you to the finance department was on hold and finally I was hung up so I could back this time I was speaking to Josh Roland. I pushed a few buttons and this was probably the second time they picked up on me catching them in the web. He was frustrated and said well we can’t issue a check unless there is a minimum of $1000. I said there’s no way your email said there was a refund for $300. Josh "if don’t except the promotion it will be cancelled and your money refunded and your service will be cut off and your payment will go back to the way it was and you owe $532 towards your bill that is when I said know I only owe $160 because I have already spoke with AT&T. Lots of red flags I caught but wasn’t sure about because it did seem legit from the emails but when I spoke with each of these individual to include Rosie/Rosalind all had British/Australian voices.( wish I hd a recording and followed my gut), wasn’t so busy I probably would have caught it and reported earlier. I also believe they might have hacked into the real Direct TV or AT&t site or my account base on the communications they knew how much my bill was. That’s another factor that lead me to believe it was legitimate but after the conversation and the direction it went I said Im not paying another $500 and will seek legal action have a nice day and enjoy the holidays.
