Coastal associates Marketing Grouip

Miguel – Jun 20, 2020

Victim Location 19709

Total money lost $2,324

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

I have a timeshare at Massanutten, VA. on 20 Mar, I got a call from Michelle 412-757-5870 From Resort Marketing Group offering to sell it for me. She seemed trustworthy and I plunked down 1000$ for advertising and expenses. Nothing heard until I got a call from Christian Broughton at Coastal Associates Marketing-781-7610 X402. He claimed to have an interested buyer and would need another 1300$ for closing fees.

I gave it on 14 April and have had nothing since. He hasn’t called me back and when I call he is either not there or tells me everything is ok.

I asked many times if there was a buyer for my property and he never confirmed it. Another associate Eric, then fili[censored] me and when I tried to ask questions he inferred I was rude by interrupting him. To this date, June 20, I still have not heard anything and calling every day and not getting Christian. As a phone message, he keeps saying he’ll call back soon as possible.

I contacted the Federal Trade Commission and they said this was the typical Timeshare Resale Scam. 1) get on stream 2) we have a buyer and charge filing fees and closing costs. Never here from them again.

My Time Share they say was worth around 28000$ I have called other timeshare sellers in the Massanutten area recommended by the Chamber of Commerce and all have said I’d be fortunate to get 12000 for it. I was brutally Scammed and hope all can read this.
