We found a car online that we were very interested in. Email contact with the seller told us that the car belonged to his father but he was too old to enjoy and the father was disabled and in a medical center. Seller said he was dedicated to his career, Director of Photography for Discovery Channel for Deadliest Catch. Again, a third party was handling the sale and transport of the car. A wire transfer was necessary after we also registered with CJM Transport. We would have 7 days to inspect the car before accepting the car or opting to return it. All shipping charges were to be paid by the seller. I left a message with CJM Transport (they never answer the phone), asked for Debbie Roger (manager) as posted on their website. I did receive a return call and was told by the caller Debbie was no longer there. I asked the caller his name and was told Peter Rosso. Not what I expected from a person with a VERY heavy East Indian, middle Eastern accent. Any question that I had he had the appropriate answer, nothing negative. Their posted Zip Code also was not listed in Spokane, WA. area. RED FLAGS!!! all around.

I was searching for an old model truck for a client. I received an email from a guy claiming it was his Fathers truck. He said he wanted to use a 3rd party for shipment. CJM Transport reached out to me. Claiming they do all the shipping and hold the money until your fright arrives. Then once you approve it, they send client money. But… they want your to wire the funds bank to bank. RED FLAG! Then I did my investigation. And realized they have done this before and used other company names. Because I represent a client, I check all avenues. Found all the fraudulent material on them

I responded to a Trovit (internet site) auto listing for a "1960 BMW Isetta 300cc Purple" to see if it was still available. Was responded to via email by an individual named "Shane Moore" via his Discovery Channel business email address (Director of Photography Deadliest Catch) that it was his vehicle, it was still available, his father passed away and it was his father’s car so he was selling. He proposed using a 3rd party transportation company called CJ & M Transport in Spokane Valley, WA to broker the sale. Shane cited that the CJ & M Transport company would be the best method to protect both of us as I would pay the CJ & M Transport company who would then transport the Isetta vehicle to my house in Another state where I would have 7 days to inspect it before the Transport company released payment to him (Shane Moore). I then conducted some Internet research on all parties where I found a ScamPulse.com complaint from July 2017 regarding CJ & M Transport not delivering a vehicle for another person after payment as promised. I corresponded with both Shane Moore and emails from CJ & M where they both continued to try to assure me that the complaint had been a fluke and had been closed (not true – the complaint was never responded to as you can see on BBB). I was asked to register on the C J & M website to start the transaction and sign the appropriate contracts. I did so as the information required was not financial in nature. I then received an email from CJ & M with a Bill of Sale for the vehicle, purchase contract and shipment document which I was to sign and return. After signing I then received another email from CJ & M as a Payment Invoice with wire transfer details (which they said was required within 24 hours of receipt). The Beneficiary Name listed was a 3rd party of which there had previously been no mention (Auto Pawnshop Inc). I looked up this company on the internet at the supposed address and looked for it on Google Earth. I found a nearby business to that location (Blue Flame Heating & Air) and an employee there confirmed with me that there was no such address and no company by the name Auto Pawnshop Inc located near there. The address is the same as that used for CJ&M. I then also contacted another transport company (Selland Auto Transport) located near that same address on the street who informed me that CJ&M Transport closed approximately 6 years ago and also confirmed there was no building at the address cited by the scammers. I then had a conversation With my bank branch Manager to gain their opinions and information regarding transaction safeguards (of which with wire transfers were very limited). I called the CJ&M contact who had contacted me a few times during these processes that I would not be making a wire transfer and wanted proof of the vehicle including alternate payment arrangements. He said "let me discuss with my supervisor and I will call you back" to which I have had no response via phone or email despite multiple attempts. I also reached out via email to the seller Shane Moore again (after attempting to independently verify his involvement by reaching out via phone to Discovery Channel to try to get in touch with his office – left VM with what sounded like Discovery Channels HR Department). In the email I proposed we move the transaction to eBay with its contracts and backing to which he responded he was a very busy man and had no time for that and to let him know whether we could proceed via CJ & M or he was going to move on to another seller. I then proposed to both he and CJ&M that I have a local Spokane individual (a local Spokane auto broker who agreed to assist should I need to hire him) to come to inspect the vehicle before payment and shipping. I have yet to hear back from CJ&M and ‘Shane Moore’ responded that despite the signed contract he was going to entertain other buyers unless I paid via CJ&M Transport. Of course I did not wire the money. I asked all parties to explain why no building exists a time the referenced address; and, as expected, they have since gone dark. I have also filed a report with the FBI Internet Crimes Division. Please stop these people!!!
