Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Hi, my name is *** I was looking on line for a job I could do at home. I work part time, because of health reasons I,m not able to work a lot of jobs. I thought secret shoppers would be good for me, and I was looking for some extra money. I don,t remember if I got a call first or not, but I got a priority mail that they spent 6.95$ for. It had a letter and a cashiers check for 2,850.00$, WOW yes 2,850.00$, this can,t be real, but they spent 7$ to mail it. So I checked out the bank its a real bank. And I now know why they made it a cashiers check, if you take a cashiers check to the bank they will go ahead and give you the money for it. BUT, But a week or 2 later when the check comes back counterfeit you are held liable for the money. Mine wanted me to go to walmart, to buy 25 100$ I tune cards , and then take pictures of them front and back, and send them to the # they gave me, I knew it was a scam by the buying of I tune cards. you keep 350$ send them 2,500.00$, And now you owe the bank 2,850.00$ Dont fall for it.
