We get calls from this number fairly regularly, at least once a month. They don’t introduce themselves and ask for the business name, address, owner name, and number of employees. They use an old business name, which we haven’t used in a few years. I finally asked who was calling and she said it was the Chamber of Commerce calling to update our records. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable answering her questions and she hung up. How often would the chamber of commerce need to update our information? Why the multiple phone calls asking for the same information? This just seems like some kind of information phishing scam to me and is very similar to another I read about on the ScamPulse.com website.
