He tried to get me to buy a gift card to ensure a $3K loan. I’m desperate to make rent, so I wanted to believe that I had been approved, but even though I need the money, I felt a pit in my stomach. I went outside to research and found out that this is a typical scam for those who are desperate. I didn’t buy the card and he called me every 5 minutes thereafter asking if I had. When I told him that I knew who he was and what he was doing (he had all of my banking info and everything), he started texting me with incredibly angry words.
