Type of a scam Identity Theft
An individual who apparently used a fake name and cash app account, hacked my phone and accessed my cash app and made it look like I sent her a total of $700. This person made a total of 5 transactions. I contacted cash app, who can only be reached via email, however, they took 48 hours to respond. We have been going back and forth asking for the proof the person claims they have to validate the money sent to them was authorized. They have no proof because the withdrawal was not authorized. However, CASHAPP claims a person is a valid person yet they can produce any documentation that proves their compelling evidence that authorized the withdraws.
Finally, they responded and said there is nothing they can do. I feel CASHAPP is running a scam and it’s possible someone within their customer service is stealing people’s money and CASHAPP has no security measures to protect the consumer or to start an investigation and retrieve the stolen money. This company should be thoroughly investigated because there are several complaints about this company and it seems no one is regulating their actions.
