Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency
Caller claimed to be grandson who had traveled to the Dominican Republic with some others and marijunia was found in the vehicle and was in jail. Needed $1100.00 immediately. Caller had a big story about how he ended up there and that everyone in the vehicle had been arrested. He left a phone number which when we called back was answered as US Embassy. My husband received a call earlier in the week from someone claiming to be our grandson but he never let the caller get to far but when he called my 82 year old mother with this big story she was about to send money.
