Type of a scam Employment
I applied to a job posting listed on Craigslist for employment at Capstone Logistics in Ashley, Indiana. I was weary while filling out the application when it asked for my SSN so I stopped filling out the application at that point. Two days later I missed a call and received a text message from a individual claiming to be Andrew from Capstone. I called the number back, and he invited me to a job walk through today. I was told to be at the Dollar General Distribution Center in Ashley at 10 a.m. There is a Family Dollar Distribution Center in Ashley, but I was unable to find any record of a Dollar General Distribution Center there. I did a reverse phone number lookup of the number I’d received the call and text from, and it is registered to a John Powell at the address near Indianapolis that I listed above. Perhaps this is all legitimate, but it seems suspicious to me at least.
