Type of a scam Debt Collections
I received a phone call from a man who identified himself as Thomas Wells from a debt collection company called "Capital Acquisitions Group, LLC" telling me that I owed money to a virus protection software company as follows

Settlement Agreement – $249.98
Malware & Virus Protection Services – Inactive (2 year plan)
He told me that if I paid $249.98 that my payment would be forgiven. He said the company mailed me invoices…they did NOT mail me anything. I received an "pre-receipt" email from this "company" and did a search on the names on the receipt. There was no Debt Collection agency named "Capital Acquisitions Group, LLC". The only company I could find was an investment group.Thomas Wells told me that I had 96 hours to send him a check or that my case would go to court. I looked up the phone number and most of the results were "scammer". I called the number and no one answered.
