Type of a scam Employment
I applied for an employment opportunity posted on Facebook’s "Jobs" section and sent my resume via Facebook Messenger. I received a text message from Alexis at 585-922-8465 telling me to call 315-992-8465 to schedule an interview. I called back an hour later and left a voicemail. I did not receive a call back until two days later scheduling an interview for the next day.
Alexis sent me an email detailing their office location and confirming our interview appointment. The address she sent via email is different than the address on C Marketing’s official website (she sent 44 Public Square and the website says 34 Public Square), and every time I try to pull up a street view of the business on Google I can never find it.
I became suspicious and looked at their Facebook and LinkedIn pages, both were created a little over a week ago. Their website uses stock photos and their bio on their website says they’re from Columbus, OH. I searched for them on ScamPulse.com and nothing came back in the search results for them. I’m wondering if they’re legit or not, and whether I should even consider attending the interview.
