Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I found a Job for an Administrative Assistant position with a telecommunications company (BT) that offered grate pay and benefits. Was contacted through my email by Mr Matt Garick, The HR Coordinator at BT Group Plc. to create a gmail account, set up a google Hangout account. Then I was to invite Mr Brown Sackman through the google hangout chat messenger. He offered me the job. I said yes, and he said that my job training will start when I got the check to but the new software, fax printer, and mac book. He also told me I had to leave my Google Hangout page open.

I was excited about the job, but when I looked it up on BBB.com I found 2 people had been scammed through this method form BT companie and a Swiss Health Care companie called AG on BBB.com. When I declined the job, Mr Brown turned aggressive and rude. I trashed the check, and notified my bank.

Thank you ScamPulse.com and I hope this helps others.

I found this job posting on Indeed.com. It was work from home and had amazing benefits, retirement, etc.. I was contacted by someone via text message. They instructed me to download an app called "Google Hangout" so I can proceed with my interview. I was instructed to reach out to a ‘Ms. Samantha Rogers’. When I was offered the position I was told that a start-up check will be sent to me so I can purchase the equipment/programs necessary to work from any location. Once I received the check, I went ahead and cashed it via mobile deposit. The very next day, my account was closed. I called the bank and I was told that the bank had made a decision to close me account! When I told ‘Ms. Rogers’ she said that it may have been due to "insufficient funds"
