When searching for a puppy we found an individual on facebook who claimed to be a small breeder with Golden Retriever puppies. The price was $800 with akc papers and $500 without the papers. This price was low, but within the range of likely cost of a retriever puppy. Upon contacting the individual they requested a $300 down payment via Applepay or cashapp. After making payment we were sent an image of "our" puppy. We were then informed that that down payment was only for a puppy without papers and we would need to send more money. We declined and said no papers was fine. The following day after asking how we were and how things where going we where asked about not taking our puppy anywhere because there was no shot record included with the dog because of the no papers. $138 was sent via applepay for the shot records. A video was sent of the puppy playing with her siblings via email. The brand of food the puppy eats is out of stock on amazon and multiple pet stores the person offered to sell us two bags of food since they buy in bulk for $100 which seemed like a good idea because it was cheaper. We were in contact every day via text. I asked when I would be able to pick up and the seller said they where bringing them to the city i live in because they had two other puppy’s going to other families here and could bring mine to me for $70. After all of this the seller contacted me the day before delivery asking for the remaining balance and would be leaving there home with the puppy at around 8 in the morning. The day of delivery we received a text a few hours after the seller should have left stated that they got pulled over and they did not have registration papers for the puppies they had to go home. The seller asked for more money for the registration paperwork which we did not want. At this point they started to get aggressive with us about sending them more money for the papers. And we could not come to them to pick up the puppy without said paperwork for travel. At this point we refused to send any more money.
