Type of a scam Employment

I am looking for a job on indeed.com and applied for a personal assistant job with this company on that website. I received a text message letting me know that they received my application and would like me to visit their website to see available positions and requirements. I answered a few questions and then received an email saying I was hired and would receive instructions via email. Attached is original text message, I looked at bogus jobs at this website and this job offer sounds just like it: <span title="https://www.cleveland.com/consumeraffairs/index.ssf/2013/10/dont_let_a_job_scam_trip_up_yo.html

I asked for a person to contact me and send proof that this was a legitimate job offer but got no response. I stopped all correspondence and blocked the cell number from my phone. They pretty much send you a check asking you to cash it, part of it is your weekly salary, part of it you need to buy things and ship somewhere, and part of it will be used to finalize antique purchases.
