Type of a scam Debt Collections
Company claims that I owe over $2,000.00 in credit card debt for a company called Banc First Visa. I never opened this account. When I ask the associate at B&L Caruso Litigations to provide proof the debt, they verbally refuse to do so. They keep threatening to take me to court. This company has my maiden name (which I haven’t used in over 4 years), my mailing address, phone number and social security number. I review my credit report atleast 1 time per month to ensure the validity of everything on it. At no point over the last 6 years that I have been doing this has the company in question or the company that they represent shown on my findings. This leads me to believe that this company is a SCAM. This company also refused to provide me with a "validation notice" which is my right according to the Fair Trade Commission by hanging up on me. Not only did the associate that I talk to not provide me any proof that this debt was mine but they were also rude and just expected me to open up my wallet for them.
