Type of a scam Employment
The scammers had an opt in on LinkedIn (afterwards removed) following by an email invitation to opt in. A package was sent with a check for $2900 and instructions on how to secret shop. Via text, they followed up on assignment and offer a bonus if done early. I found an article that the check can bounce even after it has posted so I figured it was a scam. Check posted, bounced a few days later. Summers continued to text and ask about status the entire time. Asked for images of eBay gift cards purchased.
