An automated message indicating that my record of paying on time, has earned me a zero percent interest rate. All I need to do is click on 1 to put me through to an operator. I hung up and called Bank of America to confirm that they hadn’t contacted me.

A person calls and tells you may qualify for a reduced interest rate on your bank card and asks for your bank card information. When asked, the person wouldn’t provide me his employer’s phone number or the name of his employer.

The scam includes a link to a website that purports itself to be with BoA. It is clearly a scam & an attempt to phish out naive people’s banking information. Knowing how to protect myself I clicked the link in an incognito browser with ALL permissions/scripts disabled to verify for myself that this was in fact a scam. It definitely is. Haha. People beware!

This is the second time that I receive this letter from "Bank of America". I called the number that they provide and then they start asking me all my private information, like my four numbers of my Social S, birth day, full name, etc. it was weird to me because they were offering to "refinance my mortgage" but i don’t have any house. then I stop giving all my info, they want to know my complete social and credit card number. but I said no. then I hung up the phone and called the Bank and they said that this mail is probably a Scam. so a warn any body if you receive anything like that. just be carefull.

I was called from 972-863-0989. Caller said he was from Bank of America and publisher’s clearinghouse had deposited my winnings of $15.1M into a trust fund. Said we’d have to pay 1% ($15,100) to collect the winnings. Gave a phone number of 800-922-8510 to call and verify that he was from Bank of America and also gave a me bank account number. When the number was called it was answered as Bank of America, gave them the account number which verified the amount in the account of $15.1M and then the original caller came on the line.

Caller requested a callback when we got the money together and to tell us how to send it to the IRS. Also requested my social security number, which I received to provide. Caller did have the last 4 digits of my SS#.
