Type of a scam Employment
I was first contacted via email and told to add "interviewdesk909" to my instant messenger. From there I spoke with George, the "hiring manager". George filled me in on the details of the at home job. He stated that the company began in Hong Kong but recently opened a location in Florida. George sent me a link to "the company’s" website and he told me he would need my banking information to direct deposit me the funds to get a home office set up. I asked if a check could be done instead, but was told it would need to be direct deposit to avoid delay. Once I received the funds, and had my home office set up, I was to receive information regarding my employment as well as my training. I was told I would be working full time and making approximately $25/hr at 40/week and would receive a direct deposit check bi weekly. The real kicker here is he never once spoke with me in person or over the phone, yet wanted detailed information such as my SSN, address, age and sex, and banking information. And was going to send me enough cash to set up a home office (computer, fax, printer, copier, shredder, etc…) without even completing a background check on me.
