Do not respond to any call from these people. They change their phone number and name as they wish. They want to help you get your money back from help on your computer or this morning it was online banking. Be very aware and just hang up DON’T give them any time to get your phone number on their computer because then it is too late. Just HANG UP.

We went about buying tickets through Craigslist for the SEC game this Saturday. It was $2500 for the group of tickets and they were great seats. We spoke to the man on the phone multiple times. He said his name was Austin and that he would prefer Paypal for payment. We made sure we paid with American Express just in case it was a scam. It was. He stopped communicating with us once the money was sent and would not provide the FedEx tracking. The phone number he used is registered to a deceased man in Los Angeles.

SO… a day later I decided to try to call him from my phone as all the communicating was done through my wife’s phone. It went straight to Voicemail. 213.440.8546

About 30 minutes later I received an icloud message with nothing more than a ‘?’. I thought… could this be him communicating from his laptop? Does he even know that it shows his icloud address? So I bated and got the same story out of him. 4 tickets for $2500, he prefers Paypal and will FedEx overnight them. He’s still contacting me this morning asking me to send payment. I have attached the screen shots from our conversation.

His icloud address is pretty fitting for a conman. [email protected] or [email protected]
