BEWARE! No company listed under various names of Atlantis V Charters is a NON-PROFIT and they are no longer legal entities. AVC was NEVER registered as a 501c3 or with the IRS, and is no longer an active Sunbiz entity. The AVC YOUTH SAILING AND FISHING FOUNDATION was NEVER a legal entity; ONLY a Facebook page to garner donations. The owners never gave profits to NeverSayNever, a legitimate charity. Captain and crew did not work for free. It was a SCAM for owners to support themselves.
The person operating the vessel and calling himself ‘Captain Joe’ was NEVER a valid USCG licensed captain which is required to operate a vessel for hire, nor is he a retired Marine. The company no longer has a license to operate, and neither the vessels nor the passengers were insured. BEWARE! The business is CLOSED due to a Scheme to Defraud lawsuit.
