10 months ago, I received a discovery magazine renew notice for the discover magazine I have subscribed many yeas from Atlantic Publishers Group, and paid $59.89 for a 3-year renewal on 10/1/2017. But now the Discover magazine informs me my subscription is expiring next month. When I called Discover Magazine to found out what happened, they say they never received the check I paid to Atlantic Publishers Group and they are not responsible for my loss. Phone call to Atlantic Publishers Group has no answer.

My elderly mother has been receiving invoices for magazines from this “company” for awhile. I found that she had sent them a check for a partial payment, thinking it was her regular magazine renewal. I called the number on the information and received a recording that said to leave a message. I did…never received a response.

In December, she received another invoice showing her initial payment and a balance of the same amount. I advised her not to pay any more of these invoices, but they are deceiving. I do not always intercept her mail…

Recently, she received two more invoices from this company for different magazines.

She is out the money and hopefully will not pay anymore.

The invoices look authentic, especially to her. I would love to be able to get her name off of their mailing list!!

My mother received an invoice for a magazine subscription renewal and paid it. She received another invoice saying she owed the other half. Meanwhile she received an invoice from the correct company which made us question the first invoice. Watch for cheap and unofficial looking invoice.

We have received this mail addressed to an aunt who has alzheimers disease twice in just the past month. It appears (by the return address) to be official business and asks for payment to continue consumer reports. The "notice" is deceptive enough. The total amount to order consumer reports is twice that of if you order it directly from the magazine. We get so many of these for her, and realize why she had dozens of magazines, hundreds of gifts to charity, and dozens of purchases through readers digest.

Received notice of continuation new order offer for 50 issues of People Magazine. Total Payment $179.95 in installation payments of 89.96.

I do not get People Magazine and recognized this as a scam. Same scam I received years ago about magazine publications only under a different address and a different company name. I wish someone could put a stop to whoever is doing this.

Please be aware that this looks like an invoice for a magazine you ordered. The tipoff was the amount…$189.95 for a 2 year subscription. REALLY? Who would pay that much for a magazine? Also, look at the magazine ordered. If it’s not one you have heard of, beware.

At the very bottom in red, small print it says it’s an offer;however, not sure all seniors would catch that!!!

Received an invoice from Atlantic Publishers Group for "continuing" my Yankee magazine subscription for

two and half times the amount that I normally pay. I was invoiced for $49.95 for one year and regular price is $19.97 for one year.

If this isn’t illegal, it should be.

I received a mailing which looked like a bill for a subscription for a magazine I had not ordered or was familiar with. The solicitor was unknown to me. Attached is a copy of the content inside the envelope.

I subscribe to TIME Magazine. This renewal was about the 3rd one I had received (mid-April) and I decided to go ahead and renew even though my subscription ends in October. Around the middle of June I get another TIME renewal, and I look at my bank statement to see if the check had been cashed. The check was cashed on May 16th and went through my bank on the 18th. I figured TIME renewal department wasn’t up to date with the accounting department. Come mid-August I get another renewal (this one truly must be from TIME Magazine) and my daughter begins to think I had been scammed in April. Sure enough, that check…..even though it said "Pay to the order of TIME Magazine"…..had been cashed by "Atlantic Publishers Group" at a Bank of the West in Colorado.

On August 17th I visited my bank, but they said it was over 60 days and the money could not be returned. This fake company has even sent me at least two new offers for different magazines which I don’t take!! The last one arrived on the 17th of August for the magazine PSYCHOLOGY TODAY.
