Aspens Jewelry

Bethany – Dec 23, 2020

SCAM. I placed an order in April 2020 from a sale I saw run on a facebook ad. NEVER ARRIVED AND NO REFUND ISSUED. Package did not ship until JUNE, tracking info was bad, I didn’t get a followup email until SEPTEMBER after I’d repeatedly asked for followup and then a refund, only to be told “it’s on it’s way soon!” and haven’t heard jack since. I have sent a total of 13 emails asking for followup. I don’t know how else to get in touch, no number listed.

Rafael – Nov 13, 2020

Absolutely the worst quality ever, definitely not what was advertised and reflect photos. It really looks like the quality that would come out of a quarter (.25) vending machine. Took months to receive, definitely a ripoff of quality jewelry out there, that was obviously made over seas.
You can’t get ahold of anyone and say they don’t take returns anymore due to
“Closing Collection” then look at the terms! Please don’t waste your money and let’s work to get rid of scam artists!

Cameron – Nov 03, 2020

I ordered 2 wind chimes in June and now 5 months later received 2 cheaply made chimes, not what I ordered and not the quality that was pictured.
I sent 2 emails inquiring about my order with no response from them.

Kara – Oct 30, 2020

I placed order back in May or June 2020. I ordered a Tree Of Life Wind Chime and a gift set. I didn’t receive anything…until today. Some stupid metal heavy dangling pine cones and a few copper-like bracelets that can’t even fit my wrist! So upset. Want my money back!

Gerald – Nov 03, 2020

I also ordered the tree of life wind chime and they sent me pine cones.
It took 5 months to get this. What a scam.

Crystal – Oct 15, 2020

Placed an order on May 2/20 for two wind chimes. I’ve sent multiple emails requesting a refund if my order can’t be fulfilled, they don’t respond. Today Oct 14/20 (6 months later) I receive an email stating that my order was delivered.
The package only had one wind chime. Total scam. The advertising leads you to believe they are in the USA. The package came from China. They take your money and hope you forget about your order.

Like most of you time went by with no response. They make it impossible to contact them. Finally charged it back on my card and (walla!) I get a shipping confirmation and the jewelry arrived a few days later. In fairness I email them and tell them to go ahead and charge me again as the cc company had already dismissed the charge. No response from Aspens whatsoever. The other day I get a letter from my cc that they have reinstated the charge based on ‘evidence’ from Aspens. It said that they contacted me on several occasions and even posted about delays on their website, or on a website somewhere no one seems to know about. Those are all lies, they never contacted me. I guess I did recieve the jewelry but only after I forced their hand. Doesnt sit well that they tried to make ME look like the scammer.

Clayton – Aug 24, 2020

took forever and broken
Ordered Pine Cone Chimes on May 4 got it on August 23!
My order number 32510 took forever and then when I got it it was BROKEN not unuseable They shipped it in a plastic envelope with NO BUBBLEWRAP! what the heck Tried to contact customer service NO RESPONSE T
TOTAL BS

Melanie – Aug 23, 2020

I spent $50 and got nothing.

Deanna – Aug 30, 2020

Sara,
I was in your shoes (a month and a half with no product) and then charged back my credit card. Aspens responded immediately with a shipment.

Carla – Aug 16, 2020

My order was $37.15 but it still makes me furious that a company could be so uncaring and unresponsive to response from so many customers. I ordered April 29, 2020, because the shipping was supposed to ship within two weeks. Supposed to ship prior to a trip we were taking at the end of May. I have checked with the post office to see if a package would be forwarded and assured it would be when received. It’s now August 16th and the DHL ecommerce number I received on June 17th is totally bogus. I asked for an update at least three separate times and got no response. I also asked for proof of delivery and got no response. I plan to report them as well and contact my bank to reverse my payment. I am truly disappointed because the jewelry was really quite nice looking. DISGUSTED!

Meghan – Aug 07, 2020

I actually saw their ad on facebook and I ordered two bracelets in May.
I just received my order the first week in Aug and I must say that the
bracelets are beautiful. I was afraid this was a scam but as they mention on their
site, the pandemic has affected their shipping times. I am very happy with my order and they let me know via email when it was shipped and included tracking.

Savannah – Aug 04, 2020

This is definitely a scam. They claim they are going out of business and have a sale. I placed a order 4/22l for $20 (i know, I know, I fell for it). I then sent multiple emails to change address or cancel since it never shipped, and I was moving. No Reply. It “shipped” 6/12th. Since July, it’s been listed as “forwarded” by DHL shipping since my address changed. Nothing has happened since then, DHL said to get in touch with seller. Aspens does not reply to emails. SCAM

Manuel – Jul 21, 2020

I was afraid this was a scam…same story as everyone else. Purchased $42.35 worth of jewelry from Aspens on April 8th. I followed up on May 14th and received this email: “Your order is coming, we can assure you of that…We’re expecting every single order to be out in the next two weeks and our team will continue to push day and night until every order is out the door.” I followed up a month later and never received a reply back. It’s now July 20th and still nothing. I have finally disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a complaint with the TLC.

Diane – Jul 17, 2020

I ordered a windchime from this company over a month ago! They still have no tracking on my order! I have sent them numerous emails requesting updates and have gotten no response! They charged my credit card for this order! They are a scam company!

Logan – Nov 03, 2020

I ordered 2 wind chimes in June and 5 months later got 2 cheap chimes, not the ones I ordered.

Walter – Jul 13, 2020

Never got my order of $20 that I ordered back in April 2020…it’s now middle of July. The tracking number sent to me didn’t work.

Ronnie – Jul 12, 2020

I ordered $67.55 of merch from them May 1, waited a month due to COVID delays. When I reached out to them via email I never got a response. Now going on 3 months with nothing. I googled info for the company thinking I had an old email address only to find this forum. Hearing of eerily similar experiences gives me the feared affirmation that this was a scam. Shame on people like them to take advantage of others like this. Pissed.

Steve – Jul 10, 2020

I ordered from this company on May 1 with June 9 (total of $38.80), I wrote to check on the order and received a message saying things had been delayed on June 10 with a note that my tracking number should be on its way. I have not received any tracking numbers nor my order. Today, I called the phone number on Facebook and was connected to the Google Voice which shared that the recipient was not available. I too am angry about this. Will be looking into it further and contacting my bank.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I placed an order with this business for a total of $38.80 on May 1, 2020. I immediately received a confirmation of my order which stated, " We’re getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent." I received no further communication until June 9, when I wrote inquiring about my order since it had been over a month. I received an email message June 10 requesting my patience that the company was going through "a major delay due to COVID-19." It stated that the company was now caught up, order were being scanned and shipped out and "tracking numbers should be coming shortly". I also found a note on the company’s Facebook page explaining the delay in orders and asking customers to be patient which was posted May 6. On July 10, when I still had not received the order (or a tracking number), I again wrote the company sharing my frustration and that I would be reporting them. I found the above phone number on the Facebook page as well and called it on July 10 to be connected to a Google voice number to be told the recipient was not available. At this time, I searched for Aspens Jewelry and found a number of scam reports for this company at scampulse.com/aspens-jewelry-reviews.

Nathan – Jul 08, 2020

I ordered 2 wind chimes in May 2020. The amount was 35.00. I even got a text message saying my order was on the way. They gave me a fake DHL tracking number. I have NEVER received my order or a refund! Something needs to be done to these people!

Jodi – Jul 08, 2020

I just contacted Ryan Leven out of Colorado. I am wondering if this is the owner like someone said. It says he is self employed so this might be how he supports himself! I will see if he answers my message

Jonathan – Jul 02, 2020

I received my order after a few months. I thought it was a scam and was surprised when the items arrived. I had given up on it. Know that if you order it may take MUCH longer than 4-6 weeks.

On April 3rd 2020, I placed an order in the amount of $35.70. I received a confirmtion email stating the order number was #4210 and that I would receive an additional email when the items shipped. I never received that email. I attempted to contact them via email twice requesting an update or refund. It’s now July 1st and I have not received the product or a response.

Levi –

Are we going to do something about this? I’m angry and frustrated that I was robbed. The confirmation email looked very legitimate. I placed an order in March and now it’s almost July- out $ 38.90.

Sean –

I also found this company on Facebook and Instagram advertising, stating that they were going out of business and having a sale. I did some research and it seemed legitimate so I placed an order for $55. This was on May 1st. My card was charged right away but I never received a notification that the item had shipped. After waiting several weeks, I sent an email requesting an update on the status. Email is the only form of communication given on their website. The website says they usually reply within 24-48hrs. Totally disgusted with this company.

Randy –

My niece asked for some necklaces for her birthday specifically from this company. I should have looked it up, but trusting that she was savvy about who to order from, I placed the order on May 15 for her birthday on May 23. The website ALMOST looks legit, even the confirmation email. But that’s where it stops. Subsequent emails asking for shipping status are ignored. I have reported this website/company to the FBI https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx, I suggest others do the same. The “notices” on their website and Facebook page regarding Covid-19 are a complete fraud taking advantage of the situation. The pandemic has absolutely nothing to do with the shipping of jewelry and good business practices.

Karl –

Similar to other complaints I ordered several items totaling ~$55.00 on April 4, 2020. I wrote them April 30, they responded with an assurance everything would be shipped out in the following two-three weeks. Today, June 24th, I have received nothing.

Grant –

I ordered several items totaling $38. 27 April 24, 2020. I wrote them May 4th, they responded with an assurance everything would be shipped out in the following two weeks. Today, June 19th, nothing. I wrote again, both in email and on their Facebook page, we shall see. How do I get my money back, I wonder?

Kendra –

I have never received my orders (one for my daughter and another for myself from February) and inquired at “support for Aspens Jewelry” three times over the past few months. I never heard anything. Does anyone know how to possibly get the card amt refunded?

Patricia –

The owners name is Ryan Leven

Shaun –

My initial purchase was on 4/23. After emailing Aspens jewelry a couple times inquiring about order/shipping status and no response, I emailed again requesting refund and the next day they sent me a shipping notification with a nonexistent tracking number.

Today I disputed the payment with my bank and filed a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt I encourage everyone to file as well.

I only spent $21.80 but the website is still up and they now have “free shipping over $34.99” hopefully this will keep others from being scammed.

Initial means of contact Social media (e.g., Facebook)

Like so many other previous posts, I have had a similar experience as others. I placed an order on April 25th for $31.80. I saw an ad on Facebook and googled the company and could not find bad reviews. I placed at order on April 25th. I contacted Aspens Jewelry on May 10th about my order. They responded by email on May 20th that my order was delayed because of COVID and that I should be patient. I contacted the company again a week ago with no response. They sent me an email on May 27th that my package was shipped with a DHL tracking number. On the the DHL site it says my order is still waiting to arrive at the distribution center so it was probably never sent to DHL. Do not order from this company. It is a scam!

David –

I co tasted a Ryan Leven from Facebook. Someone said he is the owner. He lives in Colorado and is self employed. Maybe this is his self employment! He scams everyone out of their money!

Levi –

Same exact scenario as you. Disappointed and disgusted. Lesson learned.

Casey –

I put in a order for $24.80 on April 19. I emailed on May 5 on my order and was assured they would get it to me. Still nothing. I emailed on May 30 with no response and again today, June 13. They charged my debit card. I am going to try to get my money back or see what kind of recourse I have.

Mayra –

I order under $30 items and never received them. I tried email several times. Even found a FBprofile to no avail.

Morgan –

I ordered two items may 4th, 2020. I have not received my order and continue to be unable to contact customer support via messaged or phone. A knew add popped up today on FB. I took a minute to retrieve my order information, went back to my page; the aid advertising 50% off sale due to store closure, was gone…

Email is the only form of communication given on their website. The website says they usually reply within 24-48hrs. I sent a few more emails and never heard back. I found their Facebook page with a post from May 6 saying that due to COVID-19 things were a little delayed but they planned to have all orders shipped by the end of May. There were several comments on it, some saying that they had received their order and were happy with it (I assume these are fake) and many more said they had been waiting a while and never got their order. I tried to call the number listed on their Facebook page, it picked up automatically and asked for my name saying that I would then be directed by Google voice. I didn’t go any farther with the phone call. I have reported this company’s pages on Facebook and Instagram and disputed the charge with my credit card company.

This is indeed a scam website, from all indications.
Note: this is Aspens Jewelry, not Aspen Jewelry.
There is no record for Aspens Jewelry on the www.bbb.org/search Better Business Bureau website.
I placed an order for $120 on 4/30/20. I was given a confirmation page during checkout, which I saved as a PDF. The receipt shows no company contact information on the page, other than a “Contact Us” link, which I did not click during check out.
**I did not receive any kind of receipt or order confirmation sent to my email address.** It is now 6/1/2020 and I have received no products, and no communication from them whatsoever.
I ordered products after clicking on an ad from them that was on Facebook & said they were having a going-out-of-business sale.
I saw this page of bad reports here today, so have sent a cancellation request to their [email protected] customer service email.
*Note: If you pay by credit or debit card & the purchase turns out to be fraudulent, if you contact your card issuer or bank within a certain number of days (usually 30 days or 60 days) and tell them you want to dispute the transaction, you may be able to get your money back from them.
** Be sure to report the scam promptly! Do not believe false promises from Aspens Jewelry that COVID-19 is causing them to ship late!
If any seller doesn’t get a product delivered to you within 3 weeks, I recommend calling your bank to dispute the purchase. If you wait too long, the bank isn’t able to give a refund to you.
To “Aspens Jewelry”–Don’t steal from people. Banks set their rates based on theft. Theft by one person affects many, & most of all affects how we regard each other.

Vincent –

Added note: I posted the first message but didn’t follow my own advice to get a dispute into a bank promptly. I later made the phone call but didn’t get the required form mailed back to them by the 60-day deadline. But gratefully the jewelry did show up a few days after!
If you’ve been waiting close to 60 days for your order, it might be wise to cancel your order, though. Because if a package doesn’t show up in your case, you won’t have a way to get a refund then.

Christina –

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE & CORRECTION ***
My $120 order finally did arrive! though it took a few days past 2 months!
I waited to call my bank to request reversal of the credit card charge until a couple weeks after writing my post above. Then I got a shipping notification email June 26 but ignored it because I thought it was false. But the jewelry order arrived in the mail about a week later! Crazy how long it took, but was glad it did come through (and, yes, Aspens Jewelry did end up getting to keep my payment, which is right).
Another note–When I checked my old emails more closely, I found that I did actually receive an emailed receipt when I first placed the order.
I was very pleased with the jewelry quality when I opened it. I’d ordered several of the keychains though in the photos they looked like they were a bit flimsy. Turns out they are a good, sturdy metal. The pendant on the silver mountains necklace I got also is a good, solid weight. The rings have nice smooth edges, too, which I appreciate. The gold color on a pine tree necklace I got was a little different color than the chain, but other than that the jewelry all turned out to be very nice! Actually, even better than I’d hoped! Before ordering, I was concerned that the jewelry might be lightly coated with colors that wear off easily. But now that I have them, it looks like the silver pieces are made from silver-color metals, and the gold-ish colors on other pieces looks like they will hold up and the jewelry will stay looking pretty.
Very pleased and grateful!
I don’t know if everyone else’s orders have been coming through now? I guess it could be that my order got fulfilled in response to my submitting a credit card dispute, but I’m not sure at all. Really they might have major backlogs on everyone’s. I hope other people’s do come through, too.
Sometimes it does take us each longer to do things than we’d hoped. I’ve been a bit more delinquent in posting this correction than they were in getting the order shipped. (Very sorry!)
Aspens Jewelery–Thanks for getting this order to me, & I hope things are going well with your company 🙂 And thank you very much for the lovely pieces!

Aspens Jewelry had an ad on Facebook about their jewelry and a Facebook page. I did not click directly on any of their links but Googled instead. Their site seemed to be legitimate at first and they offered sales on their products. I purchased 2 things but they never shipped. After the time frame they claim the product will ship, I emailed to ask about the status, to which they replied they are working hard but with COVID-19 they were held up with a skeleton crew, but my order would arrive in 3 more weeks. It was a scam and they will not cancel my order or refund my money.

Aspens Jewelry advertised their goods in a "collection closing" sale on Facebook with everything 50% off. They claim to support National Parks with the sales of their handmade goods. After placing my order for two items, I promptly received a confirmation email with all the usual appropriate information. After a week I reached out concerning the status of my order. I first sent a message on Messenger to which I received no reply. I then called their phone number which was unable to be reached which raised a big red flag. After some investigation on their Facebook page, they posted a statement saying that their orders were delayed due to COVID 19. Many angry customers commented that they had placed orders dating back almost 2 months ago stating that they had not received anything beyond a confirmation email and were unable to reach customer service to inquire. It was apparent that this was a scam and there was no chance in receiving the goods we had paid for. They use fake accounts to make comments to support their business. The fake accounts say that they received their orders and that they were extremely happy with the quality of the goods, etc. Upon further examination, it is listed that the business is based out of both the US and the Philippines. Although the Facebook page has over 16,000 likes and followers. Aspens has only been a page since March, 29 2020 and advertised their "collection closing" sale one month later. Using a reverse image search or the title of their advertised pieces, you can find the goods listed on other legitimate sites. Aspens uses photos of other people’s work/merchandise to falsely "sell" them on their site. It has been over a month and I have not and will not receive my order.
