Type of a scam Business Email Compromise
I was contacted by this company by Anne Lee, Senior Consultant Manager, supposedly stating that another company was trying to register our website address as their own and asking if this was authorized.
I responded stating that I was pretty sure their e-mail was fraudulent, but they responded that if we didn’t re-register our domain name with them, they would "authorize" this trading company to register under our name. They didn’t name a dollar amount yet, but gave me 7 days to respond before we would "lose our rights" to our domain name.
