Aquafina Water Imposter Car Wrap

William – Feb 04, 2021

I just received a letter and $4880.28 check from fedex after responding to a Aquafina water car wrap add. They didn’t even ask about my drivers license because mine is revoked but I was inquiring for a friend. I’m not 100% sure but it seems like a scam.

Get paid to drive your car/truck with AQUAFINA BOTTLE WATER sticker and earn $500 weekly visit https://bit.ly/3lOCmW6 and apply.

Please make sure you do not give any information through the text message. The car wrap sticker scam has been done mini mini times and in many different ways. They send you a check for a couple thousand dollars, then they tell you to wire 75% of it back to them and use the rest for the car wrap. They usually target older people without income or younger people without income that don’t know the difference between a scam and a real paying job!

Whenever you see something like this do your homework go online and research the company and after type in scam. Most of the time there will be a number of people that will tell you that that car rap is exactly what it sounds like a scam!

If you got. Text about putting a wrap on your vehicle it is a scam. I
Almost got scammed by another company doing the exact same thing. So don’t do it! If you have any questions call the company directly to make sure it’s legit. But I am positive it is a scam.

Received the same text… not sure how they got my number. However, I could read this was a scam right from the get go, but wanted to see if someone else had the same experience. Thank you for sharing so others don’t make a big mistake.

Trisha – Nov 12, 2020

I too received the scam request:

Thanks for getting back to me,We are glad you are willing to be a part of AQUAFINA® car advertisement and we would like to inform you that everything is in place for you to get started. Adequate arrangements have been made. The upfront payment check for the promotions has been sent to you.

USPS Tracking Number: 9405501699320159399928
Track it at https://iship.com/trackit/track.aspx
Amount $2,550.80

INSTRUCTION TO FOLLOW :
Office Number To Text (417) 372-8282 .

Once you receive the Check,it should be taken to your bank for deposit or through the ATM OR THROUGH YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION. Email me the snapshot of deposit receipt once the deposit has been made. It takes a few hours for the funds to be available, and once the funds are available, you are to keep ( $550.80 ) for the service you are rendering (put decal on your car) as an upfront payment. The balance of ( $2,000 ) which you are required to send to the installer is the payment for the Auto-Wrap installation, maintenance and removal as well as the cost of the transportation of the installer to and for your address

The decal company has graphic artists nationwide who will come to your residence to get the installation done. A graphic artist will be assigned in to get the decal done. The balance of ($2,000 ) should be transferred to the decal company, so on receiving it, they will send down the wrap installer along with the wrap to get the Car wrap done. It is imperative the transfer is done as soon as the funds become available. So get back to me if you understand this so I can give you the installer’s information to send the remaining funds.

We anticipate your response.

The check came today and of course I will not deposit it. I have also contacted the BBB regarding same scam and texted this person he has been reported.

Wayne – Nov 10, 2020

I be gotten 3 email from poody edwards pressuring me into depositing check so we can proceed with the wrap process . The check is what got my attention it’s got no address or phone number to the bank and it got a logo of some dieting company I’ve never heard of on it. Stephen – Nov 06, 2020

Text message to complete form to become part of Aquafina Water Management and put Aquafina logo on side of car for $500 week. Person that texted me to confirm type of car didn’t do proper grammar and I told him I would need proof of his company and status before I would agree to do anything. He said I’m Michael Moore with Aquafina Water
management – like that was proof enough – his name and his company name. No rank in company, contact, website to show what they do, etc. gotta get a little more creative than that kiddo

David – Nov 06, 2020

Received a text message from a John Ambrose saying he is a customer care rep for Aquafina Water. Said he would send me a check for 5100.00 and from that I was to pay the detailer 4100.00 to wrap my truck. Then the next thing he ask is for banking info. Phone # 321-802-1379. When I started asking questions the texts stopped. Scam!

I have a check for 2500.00 on Bank of America. Checks on Molinas home repair in Greensboro, NC.
My name is June Shannon in Mississippi .
Email is [email protected]

Trisha – Aug 08, 2020

Currently in same situation. Leroy is asking why I have not deposited the check and, I am doing research to know if I need to send back the envelope unopened. Sounds too good to be true.

Kari – Apr 21, 2020

I too have received a text about an Aquafina car wrap promo. But in the beginning they stated a sticker and did not start using wrap until I had mentioned it.
All the texts came from phone number 1(646)494-7421
Got the person a little testy when I asked the name, address and landline of the company he works for. I also asked for the name of the graphics company, then I was asked if they should omit my payment. I said no (hey just want to add it to my stack.

I have filed complaints, reports with law enforcement. Nothing they can do.
But as a concerned citizen I do make two phone calls or emails to the bank listed on the check (might take some doing, these bank hide contact info for the fraud division, any I notify them of the potential fraud, if possible I send copies of the check, envelope in came in with shipping info and anything that was in the envelope with the check.
I also contact the company the check is supposed to be from, they are usually very thankful. I also forward the same copies to them.

I have found that your local law enforcement don’t really give a hoot, FBI is booked solid.
If I have the time I play with these guys, lead them on. I have assisted in getting 2 scamming groups tossed in the slammer. One time I actually scammed the scammer.
I have a stack of fake checks a new job from a Chinese company that paid me $226,459.90 up front to process payments, another for $1,683,982.63 to purchase investment opportunities here in the US for a Iranian investment group, car wraps, car stickers well the stack is about 14′ high and growing.
I have been doing this for 3 years, I answer the ads, I waste their time and I post their info on websites, I still pass the info on to local and federal agencies via an email.

Don’t get scammed.

Remember tis old saying: “If it sounds to good to be true, it’s not”

Also keep in mind that:

1) Companies do not pay you upfront payroll.
2) Companies would not give extra money to a total stranger so you can pay the company they hired.

This is the text sent to me below. The gentlemen got upset & cursed me out because I hadn’t deposited the check for 2 days and also I told him I wanted to meet at the company not at my home. I have more text and also recorded our phone conversation as well.

Actual text sent to me below-

Miss … You must deposit the check and give the remainder of what is owed to the Graphic agent that’s going to place the decals on the car that’s coming with the paperwork and that’s when they’re been paid.Your weekly payment for the advertisement is 500 per week.

1 thought on “Aquafina Water Imposter Car Wrap”

  1. I responded to a pop-up ad I saw online claiming to give a weekly paycheck for my car to be wrapped with the aquafina advertisement. What seems strange was that they did not ask for any personal information driver’s license number, insurance policy, nothing. I received a check and a letter FedEx this morning and the second they said that I was to forward the money to a graph artist I knew it was not legit although the guy’s name on mine is Mr Robert Marsh phone number 678-999-6165. And supposedly the check comes from a Goodkind and Florio. A real estate attorney’s office from Miami Florida. The check is supposed to be cut from a City National Bank 25 West Flagler Street Miami Florida. I can see what can be confusing is that, upon researching it, the real estate lawyer’s office and the bank are both real. It is currently Saturday but on Monday I will be giving a call to the lawyer’s office. After viewing some of these scams I see that they are from different companies I just want people to know that this one is for Aquafina.
