Apple iTunes-IMPOSTER

Steven –

Victim Location 47408

Total money lost $500

Type of a scam Identity Theft

Someone stole my Apple ID on a public WiFi network and was hacking my phone calls. I called Apple because I had unrecognized charges on my account, and a hacker answered posing as a Apple rep with solutions to my problem, claiming I had over 400$ in lost charges due to a compromised account. They asked me to verify my apple info, and with it stole my banking info, and had me purchase an iTunes gift card to ‘refund my money back to me’ claiming that it was the only way they could acredit me due to my previous account being compromised. They stole all the money on the card and more in my account. Im out a total of 500$.

Change your apple password, keep logged out of public WiFi, remember to stay weary of numbers you think to trust.
