I got a phishing email from Apple Card stating I bought Netflix ultra HD4 screen for $19.99. I called apple support and they told me to forward it to: [email protected] A couple of days later I get a call from a person stating he is from apple and was to help me fix my phishing problem and that my computer has been compromised also. They told me not to talk to anyone about this since my computer was supposedly hacked also. They told me that they need me to buy $500 gift cards from different sources mostly from the Target stores. Long story short I was made to keep buying gift cards at different locations in Davis, Woodland and Vacaville, California, so my computer problems could be fixed. The Target voided their own policy of not being able to buy more that $999 of gift cards a day. I managed to buy over $50,000 of gift cards in 3 days. I should have been pulled aside and asked what I was doing. LLBean, Mastrcard also gave me a increase in credit to max out at $35,000 and I was able to put $61,000 of charges on it. The scammers would always give me back an official receipt in email form whenever I purchases the cards too.

I listed some items for sale on Craigslist and I received a text the next morning. They wanted the items and were willing to pay asking price without even seeing the items. The phone number came from North Carolina but the texter said they were in San Francisco CA. They claimed they were on a job-site. They received my info and a check was mailed priotity mail from NY. Inside was a check from Austin, TX from a Bank of America account in Illinois. My items were listed for $480.00 I received a check for $4,850.00. The scammer was persistant in texting me to confirm delivery of the check and ask when I would be depositing the check. Once I lied and said it was cashed, they told me to send the excess money to the movers and they would send instructions. On a hunch, I took a photo copy of the check and found that the words "void" were printed on the photo copy but not visible on the check. I am warning everyone here to BE CAREFUL. This fake check appeared very real and even had a heat sensitive mark to add authenticity.

They gave me a number to call them back with. 518 512 4937. I have not called them back so I don’t know about this number. They said my account had been compromised and I should call them. Consecutive phone messages left saying 25 attempts made last night to get into my computer from Russia and Mexico. They (Apple Inc 508-656-5775) urged me to connect to their tech dept. so they could secure my computer. The next time they called I answered the phone and connected to a tech person. The call got disconnected and they called me right back from 407-573-5577. I gave them permission to secure my computer. They were remotely in my computer. They wanted all my credit card info. They changed some passwords. Then they said they were going to install a program to make sure none of those attempting hackers could ever get into my computer again. They wanted me to buy google cards to pay for the software and said that I would be reimbursed. I said no and hung up and called my son. He checked my accounts and could see that google cards had already been purchased. We reported it to everyone and I am getting new accounts and new credit cards. All passwords have been changed. My son is restoring my computer to its original state. This all happened on Thursday Feb. 21, 2019

The old phone scam supposed from Apple Inc has once again begun. These are robocalls and leave the same, or very nearly the same, message indicating that your Apple account or device has been breached, or there has been suspicious activity on it and that you need to speak to an Apple support agent before using your Apple device. You were given the option to press “1” to speak to support agent or call their tollfree number later. (Sorry, I failed to write down that number before I erased the messages).

I do not own or use any Apple devices!

I’ve kept my phones listed on the do not call list for several years. After providing my personal information, I reported this activity to the donotcall.gov website with the following information:

“MANY calls. I refuse to answer. Same scam as perpetrated several months ago.

Dates/times:

8/11 – 112pm, 234pm, 311pm.

8/12 – 1118am, 1231pm, 305pm, 518pm, 522pm, 553pm, 610pm, 718pm.

8/13 – 1128am, 1152am, 1207pm, 1244pm, 1256pm

After the 1231pm call on 8/12, I began blocking the number(s), and started getting more calls and from differing numbers. I turned off my answering machine after the 553pm call and the calls increased.

My caller ID all showed Apple Inc, or Apple Store. The phone numbers shown are: 408-606-5775, 503-495-2080, 717-295-8800, 412-649-2460, 205-909-2570, 425-519-0080, 509-458-0080

This group (whoever they are) became more persistent and frequent with their calls. I consider this harassment! I want them stopped! PLEASE! Thank you.”

THIS "APPLE INC" HAS CALLED OUR HOME SEVERAL TIMES AT ALL HOURS RELENTLESSLY AS WELL AS INVADED OUR COMPUTER INSISTING THERE IS A VIRUS & TO CONTACT THEM FOR SUPPORT. INSTEAD, I CALLED APPLE DIRECTLY & FOUND THAT "APPLE INC" IS NOT THE APPLE COMPANY. PLUS, THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH MY SYSTEM ACCORDING TO THE APPLE COMPANY.

WHEN I DID DIAL THE #1 TO MAKE CONTACT WITH A PERSON, I REQUESTED THAT WE BE TAKEN OFF THEIR LIST & TO NOT CALL BACK. I WAS TOLD "OKAY" AND ALSO CALLED A "***". I’VE TRIED TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS "APPLE INC" IS ON OUR "BLOCKED CALLS" LIST.

In less than two hours, I received FIVE home phone voicemails from ‘APPLE INC’ saying there was suspicious activity on my iCloud account and that it had been breached.

The recorded woman’s voice said not to log in on any Apple device until speaking to them.

Option #1 was to speak to a tech support advisor.

Option #2 was to repeat the message.

Option #3 was to call the following ‘toll free’ number later (518) 312-4090.

I looked up the real Apple support number on www.apple.com. They said they would never leave such a voicemail and to ignore this and any such voicemails.

There is scam caller who comes up Apple Inc saying "do not use any apple products your account has been comprised. "They then tell you to call Apple Customer Support at a phone number they give. They are using a rotating call machine using different numbers each time they call. They have called 12 times in an hour, all on different phone numbers. It appears to be a robo-call, They are using Apple customer base; The object is to either phish by pressing the button or talk victim into paying for service to fraudulently protect apple equipment that has not been compromised. Blocking the numbers using Spectrum which sends a message "number is no longer receiving calls-"seems to prevent further calls as it appears your number is not in use. On Sunday, April 8th I received repetitive phone calls from APPLE INC starting at 07:30 in the morning. At first I did not pick up but they called literally every 90 minutes or less. After the 5th call I did pick up. The call gives an automated message of there is a problem with your Apple devices on the cloud. Please press 1 for assistance and press 2 to hang up. I pressed 1 and was routed to a call service it sounded like Indian accent. The man asked how he could help me. I said I don’t know you called me. He hung up on me. Unfortunately the calls continued. I picked up again and pressed 1. I spoke with the same gentleman. I told him that he was harrassing me to be repeatedly calling me and to STOP AND DESIST IMMEDIATELY. He apologized and I hung up. 90 Minutes later the phone rang again from APPLE INC. I picked up and pressed 2. Unfortunately the calls kept coming all day and into the evening. I finally disconnected my phones to get some peace in quiet. The funny thing is I don’t own any APPLE devices or do I have any information on the cloud. This was clearly a spam. Unfortunately they kept calling. Of course I am on the do not call list nationally and state, but that is a joke. I wish there was some way to stop these people.

I got a call from Apple Inc. I recently bought a new Mac so I thought the call was related to that purchase. It was a robocall but they told me to press a number which connected me to a real person. She was able to gain access to my computer and all sorts of stuff started popping up on it which confirmed what she was saying about there being a problem. She told me I had to go to a Walgreens, CVS, or Dollar Store to buy $500 worth of itunes cards which would be refunded to me. I asked her how that money would be given back if she didn’t have an account #. She just said it would be taken care of. When she told me to go the Walgreens I figured that this was probably a scam and something just didn’t feel right. I didn’t buy the cards and then my brother got on the phone and told them to give a callback #. The woman just said to use the number on the screen but wouldn’t give a legit Apple contact #. We hung up the phone, unplugged my router and computer and called my internet provider who reset my IP address so they wouldn’t be able to hack in again. I also got a call from Walmart who flagged a purchase that these people were trying to make w/ my account! Also found out they were trying to hack into my google account and make purchases through there as well.

Since 4:22 pm Tuesday 3/27/18 until noon on 3/28/18 I have received 16 telephone calls 7 numbers in 6 area codes from a number identified as Apple Inc. A recorded voice woman’s voice (named Molly) says Apple has detected a suspicious activity in your Apple ID account and you should stop use on all Apple devices. They offer help to fix the problem and you are directed to press one for help to fix this problem. I have pressed one and asked the recipient (Indian accent man’s voice) to stop calling me and he disconnects. You can clearly hear other Indian accent voices in the background. I have also asked the recipient a series of questions, he gave vague answers and eventually he hung up. I have blocked each of the numbers after several calls and they simply call on another number.
