Type of a scam Online Purchase
I found a puppy for sale for below normal asking price. I contacted the email in the web page and recieved an email back. I asked questions about the puppies and over time the grammar became worse and the information more vague on the puppies. When we had settled on a puppy we wanted we were asked to wire transfer 850 dollars to a zelle account in two separate payments of 500 and 350 with no memos. Then I became uneasy. I asked if I could video chat or talk on the phone prior to transferring money. The person I was speaking with became hostile and said "business is based on trust." They continued to refuse any other contact with me other than email and kept insisting on me sending them the 850. I stopped contact.
Other warning signs that lead me to believe I was being scammed: searches on the internet came up with no other results besides their site. They mentioned years of breeding but their site copyright was only 2020. They only allowed shipping. All their pets seemed to come from different litters but were all 8 weeks old. The pictures taken for the dogs had several different backdrops that didnt seem to come from the same location.
