Type of a scam Rental
In the apartment complex i rent from, for the last 2 years I’ve been here, we’ve had regular mail, and any large packages get delivered to the office or the resident’s front door. Sometimes, the USPS uses large mailboxes to store these big packages as well. In any case, its been worry free for the most part. until now.
NOW, they’ve added a "Concierge service machine" that you can pick up your packages from any time of day.
Cool, except, you have to ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO, AND PAY A REGISTRATION FEE OF $10. AND if you dont pick it up in the short window of time, you get FINED.
I shouldn’t have to pay additional money for some middle man inserting himself between my package and me. AND who said they could do that? Now, if i want to get my package, i HAVE to pay, or i cant access the machine. This is not the regular mail, but for packages. BUT, if i get any package to big for my mailbox, it will go to this machine. And since i dont want to PAY AGAIN, they are basically FORCING people to pay to get their packages. How is this acceptable?
IS this a scam, or are they allowed to put micro transactions in every friggin facet of my life???
