Type of a scam Online Purchase

Received phone call posing as Amazon Customer Service (showed up on caller id that way) on cell & house phone. Indicated I had an account with them and they would take $32 out of my bank account tommorrow. They were unable to see that information so they were requesting my bank ccount information. Asked to speak to a supervisor and I was on a long hold. After I talked to him, he put me on hold again. He never provided any information but would turn over my account to supervisors and they would call in 24 hours to tell me what they found out and to verify I don’t have an account with them.

Type of a scam Tech Support

These people put a Amazon clone website on the internet claiming to be Amazon Customer Service. Then they trick the caller into giving them access to their home computer by downloading a program called GoToAssist. Then the log into the person’s Amazon Account and change settings, shipping addresses and 1 click setting to their own address and start purchasing several hundred dollars worth of gift cards. They justify this by telling the person they have multiple viruses on there computer and they’re in the process of cleaning them out. Lastly, they ask for all of the victims credit card numbers because Amazon only shows the last four.
