Type of a scam Debt Collections
A gentleman from Alston-Byrd Associates contacted me at work, home, and my cell phone stating he is to collect money in the amount of 510.00. He said the payday loan company Archway Holdings and Riverside payday lender retained his firm to come after me to collect money. I do not know the payday loan lenders. I never took money from these 2 payday loan lenders. He stated the original company may of sent the debt to this new company (it was confusing). As I investigated this company another law firm came up (Alston-Bird Associates) I called this firm and they stated they did not have an office in Chicago Illinois and not to pay anything and to contact you and Illinois Attorney general.
