Today, Sept 22, 2016, I was approached at my home by a man "claiming to have a crew in the area" with recycled asphalt. I do need to note that this was the 2nd time in 6 weeks I have been solicited. Different young man this time with a clear accent that is NOT from here. I know in the past gypsies have used this ploy to scam others. I did my research the 1st time I was approached and the phone number goes to a voicemail in Kansas City, MO. This crew claims to be out of Savannah doing work nearby. I have reported this to my local sheriff and I am waiting to hear from them as I type this. The vehicle is marked with the company name, but the driver flew out of my driveway so fast when I told him I wasn’t interested that I couldn’t get the plate. I know it is a white Dodge Ram larger truck and fairly new. PLEASE REPORT THIS IF IT HAPPENS TO YOU. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY PEOPLE ON MY ROAD WHO HAVE BEEN DUPED INTO THIS. I know in less than a year their "new" driveway will be gone. The guy didn’t offer me a business card this time because I emphatically denied his offer for services. BE AWARE!!!
