We contacted JERRY DOBBS about painting our interior of our home. and arranged a visit. He arrived and we told him in more detail about what we wanted and he agreed a price of $600 and shook hands on this deal. he had a cursory look around the house, This was in September 2016. We had to delay starting our project and he was again contacted in November 2016 and he once again visited our house and we discussed the color scheme for each room. He told us he was just finishing a job and would contact once it was complete the following week and arrange a start date. He asked for $250 up front and the balance of $350 was due on completion. He told us he would gt the paint and should be ready to go once hi current job was finalized. We gave him a check for the agreed amount and he supposedly left a message at his office to get a receipt and contract tent to us. This message then appeared on our own cell phone which sort of began alar bells but we thought it was just like a copy of the one he had sent to his office. As he left he walked to a U Haul van that as actually parked outside a neighbor house, again a strange occurrence that did not ring right as on the previous visit he had arrived in a car and parked in our drive. We did not hear anything and contacted him by phone tet and he came back saying he was at the hospital, the next message we received said he had had a seizure but ould be letting u know the following week when his job was approved and over. when we tried later to text him we found the phone was blocking us and when we tried to phone him a message was given that the phone was not accepting incoming calls. Very strange as it was listed as the company phone so how could it operate without receiving calls. We then looked n our bank site and found he had cashed the check the same day as we had gien it and it was marked with his Driving license number by the bank teller. We have lost our money and had no work done and now cannot even contact the company
