Type of a scam Debt Collections
These people called me late one Friday afternoon, claiming I took out a loan back in 2008 and 2011 for $480 and $590. I was convinced because they had all my personal info, like last four of social and old addresses. Anyhow, they claimed to be hired from outside financers of the loans I took out, and were calling to collect, or I they would have me taken to court with charges that sounded very criminal. I got the names of the their "financers", first group was "TITAN GROUP LLC" and second group "CARDINAL MANAGEMENT". I did some research and came to find out that other people around the nation, are getting called WITH the same amount being owed! It was too coincidental. I called them back, and got the name of their collection agency, Albreight-Clark and Associates. Yet, they sound from the Philippines or some oriental country. Anyhow, I requested a letter of verification and they said that I would get one as soon as I get the payment taken care of. I kept telling them I needed to know the company’s I borrowed the money from, and the letter needs to be sent. They kept refusing and refusing, so I told them to call me back in a week, while I research everything they provided me. Good thing, because I found that everything was lie. These guys are good, so please watch out people.
