Type of a scam Tax Collection
I received a message on my phone from a "Bashir, Ahmed." It informed me that the US Treasury has executed an impostment action against me. If I didn’t call back I would be subject to a court appearance. He closed by advising me to cooperate. He clearly had an accent but said his name was "James Casten." The number it came from (and he instructed me to call) was 585-786-7759.
I know this is a scam but wanted to report it so that others won’t be taken in by it.
