Type of a scam Credit Cards

A man with an accent called us. She could not pronounce our daughter’s name. (First and last name.) He said our daughter had checked a box on a form asking for help when she was filling out paper to take the ACT test. He promised a 200 point increase in SAT and 4 point on ACT. (That would make her in the top 95%.) He said it was a 30-day free trial and after 30 days would cost $192.80 if we keep it. I asked him if the form she checked the "help" box advised that the service would cost $192.80 and he so no. I asked him what his company’s name was and he said "ACT and SAT College Prep Center". I then asked him why they would use a deceitful practice like this when a student fills out education forms. He said he understood what I was saying and told me that he was sorry that the the cost "was not in the family budget at this time". I called him and his company a liar and a cheat and he bid me goodbye.
