Type of a scam Employment

I was searching for employment that allowed me to work from home using the indeed.com website. It was like any application process as far as indeed.com is concerned; However, a week or so after applying for the Customer Service position I received an email stating that I had been selected for the "interview process" which would take place via Google Hangouts which already seemed extremely odd to me, but I proceeded to do the online interview. Initially, I was very excited for the opportunity–very very excited–because I was seriously in need of a work-at-home position. The individual I was speaking to was not articulate as far as English is concerned. At initial contact he sounded to be of African or Middle Eastern descent. The site that was provided as being the company website in and of itself drew some red flags as it had several grammatical errors on the entrance page: there were quite a few typos which were also evidence of something unprofessional. Furthermore, the supposed "HR Manager" was said to be a woman (Doris Roberts) and a phone number was provided, but each time I called the number there was a male voice in the voicemail. I was never able to reach an actual Doris Roberts.
