I was contacted by Ace Industrial Supply on 05/22/18; they seemed very concerned about my being an unhappy customer. I had been awaiting for supposedly guaranteed products for over 2 years. I had contacted their company numerous times inquiring about the product, which were drill bits guaranteed for life. I was contacted by sales associate code CCI; he seemed very concerned about my being unhappy due to my awaiting the replacement of the drill bits for over 2 years. This associate indicated to me that they were very sorry for my being unhappy for the wait. At that time the associate began by giving me ‘Free’ gifts of tools to make me happy. I told him I simply wanted the bits I had been promised years before and all I wanted was them to replace the bits and completely remove my name from their sales list as I had retired over the past years and had no need for their company’s products. At that time he started telling me I was being gifted the following tools to make things better: 1 Makita Sawzall cordless, a 3 pack of brown Jersey gloves, 1 orange 25′ power cord, a container of 48 impact driver bit set, 6 wire brushes, 6 rolls of electrical tape, a package of 10 zip ties, the drill index I was initially supposed to get 2 years previously, and an Ace t-shirt. I requested they simply send me the drill index, but he insisted I accept the additional tools as a show of their not sending the parts requested previously.

I simply wanted them to get me the drill index and be done with it, and remove my name from their sales list.

After all these items were given to me, they then began offering additional sawzall blades. I told them I didn’t need any blades, but they continued with their sales pitch. I was by this time quite tired of the whole sales pitch and simply wanted to get off the phone with him so I told him If I would let them send me the blades the sales pitch was over. I accepted this and told them that if I wasn’t satisfied in any way with the product I was going to return the blades for full credit; he seemed to accept this and the sales call was done.

I received the tools in about a week and I looked up the blades on line and found that they were trying to sell me blades I could purchase almost anywhere else for less than $*** per blade, for $*** per blade. I called the line for the sales office and was transferred around until I found out what I needed to do to return the product, which I did. After I returned the blades, I continued to get calls from Ace Industrial supply trying to sell me more, and then they insisted that the entire shipment of the tools I had been promised Free in an attempt to get me so called "Happy" was to be sent back at my expense and I owed them for shipping handling, and tax from California. I have been called a minimum of 5, and as many as 15 times a day since returning the blades and they are insisting that I’ve made up this story and that I was never given any ‘free’ product for my dis-satisfaction, but as a reward for buying the sawzall blades.

I get calls daily. I have requested that they simply send me a shipping label to send back the products but they have not. I simply want this to go away, but after this has gone on for now over 2-1/2 months the principal of this matter is now more important than anything. I have been duped by Ace Industrial Supply, and I’m not interested in sending them anything as they are at fault for lying to me about the free products and then overcharging me for a product that I can buy almost anywhere for considerably less than what they want from me. I have already spent my hard earned money on sending them the sawzall blades back, and prior to numerous phone calls I would have sent them the entire package back, but now I’m so very tired of this situation and would like your assistance in resolving this issue. Ace Industrial Supply has become very predatory to me and I would like this resolved. I don’t have all the items they sent me as I have given alot of it away due to them being mostly junk (and supposedly free). I still have the Sawzall, but it isn’t in new condition any longer, as I have used it around the home here.

The invoice attached shows the items sent for ‘free’ as well as the blades (2 sets at $*** ea) which have been returned to them. They have commented that they have received the blades, but I have received nothing in writing indicating a credit to the account for the return. They continue to insist that I owe them the full amount of $***.

Please help me resolve this issue, and have them STOP CALLING ME any further.
