I needed a lot of pruning, to have a wall rebuilt and my sprinkler system was broken. I responded to a business card left in my door. Talked to Patrick and called 2 references. They quoted me $1200 and said it would take 1-2 days. They didn’t show up til 2 days late. Said they’d been in an accident and lost phone.Patrick started pruning in 6 different areas, said needed to run errand and would be back in 5 minutes. Came back next morning with 3 brothers and rebuilt wall. Very open about being large American Samoan family.Next day tore into sprinkler system. Said needed part and tool. Disappeared again. More older brothers appeared 2rd day. Were intimidating. Argued among themselves. Disappeared. Pruning still 1/2 done. 4th day Dad arrived plus 6 sons. He said not charging enough and raised price to $1900. Very belligerent. I complained about some of pruning and Dad got out chain saw and started hacking away. I said\ stop. Dad said there was family emergency and needed check right away for $1000. Made one out to A & P. Said needed to be made out to him personally Filipati Si’a. Said they needed to get tools, be back in 5 and never returned. Phone number blocked. 971-517-2990 I told this story to an established landscaper who said he’s heard about this family from 3 other clients in last 4 years.
