Just received a phone call from an obvious scam operation. I think the guy said he was from A-1 installation. He said I needed to schedule an appt for a free 20 minute inspection of my roof to check it for damage. Said they would be in my area. It wasn’t optional: he made it sound like he was authorized by whomever to come onto our property, and that we needed to schedule this appt. Sounded very convincing except for ll kinds of background noise, other voices. Like a call center. I asked him who authorized him to conduct this inspection and where he got my phone number. He said it was a public records search. I immediately told him to take me off his call list and do not come onto my property. He was relentless. I had to say that at least 5 times before he got off the phone. It was frightening how aggressive he was. Note – the phone number is dead: i tried to return the call a few minutes later and it went nowhere.
